Maybe in 012 considering the amount of work that people tried to get her to work. Despite getting some insane Ground Buffs, Original Dissidia was far more of an Aerial Game. In regular Dissidia she was definitely considered better than what people had put her on the Tier List. Her position on the Tier List was more that many people didn't actually play her and many of the top players agreed she was probably higher than she was intended, placing at most at a solid Mid-Tier with the ability to almost punish every Air Dodge near her and being able to essentially put people into an infinite Chase which in turn allowed her to always have advantage in a game of Rock/Paper/Scissors. She was also not Terra or Zidane, the two best characters in English Original Dissidia. Original Eng Dissidia had a problem where pretty much once you got past the High Tiers and the Absolute Bottom Tiers, Middle and Low Tiers were basically player preference and were just guess work based on tournament results from the one or two players who played those characters. Terra wasn't discovered Top until one player dominated an entire tournament with her. Then many people later hopped on the Bandwagon and only played Terra or Zidane. Ultimecia was definitely slept on because of that. CoD's Playstyle really kicks off in Ex-Mode though. In Ex-Mode, she's absolutely insane and was vastly unknown even by many of the Top Players at the time that this video was recorded. Many people actually had to solve the problem of her being pretty much unpunishable while in Ex-Mode. In the end, all people figured out was how to dodge Wrath and then stay safe when Wrath activated. Her Ex was just too quick. (I believe there are videos around showing this interaction where people try to Punish her in Ex, only for her to use Wrath, only for them to dodge then really unable to do anything else.) This was considered severe enough that her 'Cooldowns' or 'Lag' at the end of her moves were severely nerfed in Ex-Mode in 012. Finally arena choice is important: CoD really does well in enclosed spaces. Bottom levels of Magitek Lab, Pandaemonium and a couple of others. She has slight problems in open spaces, but it's no where near the level of, say, Emperor when it comes to that sort of issue. Fun fact though: Her 'Flailing Move' ('Air-2') was probably her worst attack in English original. It was long, took a while to actually happen. It was worse at punishing Air Dodging than 'Air-1' and was far less safer than 'Air-3.' Her Ground Game though was fantastic on the other hand. But no: She wasn't 'Sub-Par' to other characters because of flailing move. She was probably On-Par with a game that had 2-3 very dominant characters with that Flailing Move to probably be her worst HP attack in the game. It's great against AI and it's great against anyone who's never played against CoD before, but her other Brave Attacks in Original were Faster, Quicker and far Safer. They also allowed her to have more combos that I believe weren't all shown in that video.

The boss 'not being synced to your beat' is not a bug but is actually intended. The boss every level gets slightly faster which allows them to attack off the beat. It's why bosses in Patapon have such long windup to all their attacks: So that you stand a chance when they get slightly faster. The fight was long because honestly I barely hit any real perfect beats. It's really hard playing the PS4 version when it has Sound Desync Issues AND you don't wear Headphones. Honestly I would say it's still best to play on the PSP version of the game. Thank you however. :D

KaijuKraid this is so true. I just bought it thinking the patapos 2 that i played years ago was patapon 1. I stopped playing it and just hoped they bring patapon 2 in ps4 too.

@@KaijuKraid I know I am a bit late but I know a cool build against fire breathing. I noticed you prefer solid defense while also having a great offense. Kibapon tatepon is a really cool build for that. Tatepons are the best tanks and are able to negate almost any damage with the chaka chaka song. Kibapon are immune to most damage while dashing in fever mode so if needed you can still attack the boss while they are attacking. They stand in an offensive position during chakachaka so if you pair that with tatepons you can be both offensive and defensive at the same time. The last spot is empty and optional. Yumipons could be a decent option because they are at the back of the army and away from danger+very high range. For rarepon selection, you can go barsala for both; especially kibapon because kibapon are fast units and barsala has the highest movement speed on par with pyopyo. Tatepon could also be matched with another rarepon with high hp to tank hits but barsala is pretty solid.
