Ola, soy latina no habli su idioma, muy lindo su totorial pero no se traduce abajo en español, ni tampoco sale las medidas en num grandes en pantallas par entender bien el tutorial gracias.
Looks like one of the simpler how to I have found on this bowl cozy. I will try it. Thanks!
Working on it now. I didn't use 1/2 seem allowance and had a small section that I missed with the stitch.😢 Did you use a walking foot? I had trouble with a regular foot.😮
Done. I made 12 of them for Christmas gifts 🎁
This is quality
Watch The Sewing Room tutorial. She shows how to join the straps which looks more professional than a knot.
Where can I buy a shopping cart like the one in the video?
Thanks for your tutorial. I just made my first set tonight following your video. Super easy and fun.
What are the fabric measurements?
You can find all the details here: www.sassycassysews.com/easy-peasy-drawstring-backpack/
Great video and to the point however, mentioning the 1/2” seam allowance when stitching the pieces together would be very helpful! I had to search the comments to hopefully find out. Thanks!
Whoops! 🙈 Good catch. I hate it when people don't include seam allowance on their tutorials. Sorry about that!
That was so helpful! Thank you!
You're welcome! I'm glad you found it helpful! ☺️
The music is terrible!!!
So is this comment!
It's not bad. All one has to do is turn it down.
Making 2 sets as Christmas Presents…😊
How many inches do you cut off the corner?
Cut to (but not not through) the stitch. I'd say about 1/8" away from the corner :)
Thank you!!
You're welcome! 😊
Great instructions, your so easy to follow. Big thanks..
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice tutorial. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Perfect easy to follow
I hope this bends in 1/2 easily. I saw one video where the instructor sews 3 lines of stitching from corner to corner for the quilting lines, diagonally. These made it easy for the hot pad to bend in 1/2 while grabbing the pot handle on would imagine. If you fold it corner to corner. But should be done before the picket goes on. I can’t remember which person did the video that showed this extra stitching idea, but it did seem nice if people were worried about the hot pad bending in the middle easily.
You can do your stitching lines however you want! 😊 And yes, it bends easily (although that will also have to do with how thick of batting you put in there).
This is the best tutorial ever!! Others just ramble on 😏
what fabric do you use inside?
I use natural cotton batting inside.
I made 2 of these. Thank you for this tutorial!
You're welcome!! Glad you enjoyed it!
I love your ironing Board Cover with the measurements on it. Where did you get it?
It's been years since I got that so I'm not positive...it might have been from Joann's. 😁
Best tute I have seen yet ! Ty !
Thank you so much!! I have a lot more on my website 😁

You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!!
Loved making this backpack! Also working on finishing up your #reading book pillow. Thank you!
Awesome! I'm happy to hear this! 🤗
Thank you for sharing this.
I wanted the pattern but the link asked me to add on and then it would not let me continue to download the pattern. Sigh
What do you mean it asked you to "add on"? If you are unable to download the file, you can follow the tutorial from the website. I know it's easier sometimes to have the paper in front of you. Maybe try downloading again. Good luck! 🤞
Well, I'll be! Twin Needles! I wish I'd have seen this video BEFORE I hemmed this lady's tops today!
Save it for next time! 😘
Great tutorial. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
What is the length set at? Can't find any videos that state this. Btw very very informative and I loved how you used a bobbin as your second spool I was wondering if I could do this since I only had one spool in the color I wanted.
Yes, you can use a second bobbin as your top thread! 😊 Standard length is 2.5 and that's usually where I have it set. You should be good between 2-2.5. Hope that helps!
This perfect and easier to insert drawstring. 🤗
What's the seam allowance, when stitching the two pieces together?
Hi! I almost always use a 1/2" seam allowance on my patterns 😁 (which is what I used here).
Hello, I made so far 12 zipper pouches as Christmas gifts. The tutorial was easy to understand. Thank you, Gloria
That's awesome! I'm happy to hear this 😁💕
I just made a pot pad. Simple but very cute and functional. Thank you
Awesome!! I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial! 😊
Perfect. Loved the totourial.
Thank you!!
Do you know a fabric store that would have baby fabric? Specifically double gauze cotton?
What size were you on this pattern
I believe I went with the medium. I can double check, but I'm out of town until Wednesday.
do any of these fabric place's have a online site .
Some of them might. I know that Michael Levines has an Instagram and probably a website as well. Skyline fabrics might, maybe Blue Moon. To be honest, I haven't checked. But you could do a Google search! 😊
I’ve made 2 of these. They’re so easy and adorable. Thank you for making this video.
Awesome! I'm happy to hear you are enjoying the tutorial!! 😊❤
Do you have a written tutorial on this?
Yes I do! Here ya go :) www.sassycassysews.com/how-to-make-a-reading-pillow-cover/
Thank you so much ❣️❣️
Did anyone ever find the printout. I went to the site but was unable to find this particular bag.
All of my tutorials are e on my blog under the "sewing and other tutorials" link. Here's a direct link for this particular one: www.sewcanshe.com/blog/2015/3/27/easy-peasy-drawstring-backpack-free-sewing-tutorial?rq=drawstring%20backpack
Thank you 👍
Where can I get the printout of bag
Hi! If you visit my website and click on the sewing tutorial tab, you'll find my tutorial.foe the bag. I actually used somebody else's pattern and didn't want to steal their work, so I linked it in that post 😊 www.sassycassysews.com
Could you tell me what kind and weight/strength is the batting. I've just started teaching myself how to sew. My daughter wants to have a booth at our local Saturday market this Summer selling produce she grows. Thought I could help with items i sew. She's planning to major in Ag business when she starts college in the Fall. 🤗
Hi! I bought the batting at our fabric store. It's a natural cotton batting, similar to what is in this link. You can really use any kind of quilters batting at any weight and it'll work. If it's too thin then the heat might go through more quickly. You can always double up on the batting. Hope this helps. Good luck at your booth! 😊 smile.amazon.com/dp/B000YYZSJA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_PMD3MTPG8HJTBH4C4HHG
Thank you for the reply.😊
Everything has to be 100% cotton. If used in microwave you can use regular cotton batting with scrim? Spelling in it.
Can in use interface for this?
Sure, you could add it for extra strength if you'd like 😊
What a great tutorial! Thank you so much ❤️👍👍
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
I was trying to get the tutorial for your backpack. If you can email it to me my email is kayekaye55@yahoo.com. You made it look so easy. I love it.
Sure, I'll email you!
