DIY MOJO Remote Duck
How to install an aftermarket remote into a MOJO Decoy; using a 6V remote I bought from 12Vmonster.com for only 14 dollars compared to about 50 dollars for the mojo brand. Very simple you only need wire cutters and some electrical tape.

I accidentally bought the momentary remote. Is there a way to make it a latching remote or do I have to send it back?

Update on wiring... Everyone says their module stays on when they turn the switch to off. Here's how to wire it.Step 1 connect black ground wire from module to battery negative terminal.Step 2 connect one yellow wire from module to battery positive terminal.Step 3 connect red wire from module to the red wire from jumper going to the power switch.Step 4 connect remaining yellow wire from module to remaining red jumper wire going to motor. Now you have a working mojo remote that turns the module off when switch is off. the module is nothing more then a relay that gets activated by the remote. now I don't have a lucky duck spinner but it works the same way I'm sure ill look at my buddy's on Saturday and let you all know.I do have a lucky duck rapid flyer and its a bit more tricky if you want to use the two stage switch ill make a tut when my remote comes in for it. If you don't care for the two stage switch and just want a permanent remote control lucky duck rapid flyer here's how.Step 1 connect black ground wire from module to battery negative terminal.Step 2 connect one yellow wire from module to battery positive terminal or slice and solder to the harness's orange and red wire jumper pins 1 and 2 on jumper.Step 3 (On the harness there will be a yellow and white wire cut the wire that jumps the two. on jumper that's pins 5 and 8. pin 5 is the white wire and pin 8 is the yellow wire.) connect red wire from module to the yellow wire from jumper going to the power switch.(Pin 8 on jumper)Step 4 connect remaining yellow wire from module to remaining jumper white wire going to motor.(Pin 8 on jumper)jumper wire pinoutpin 1 goes to orange wire on harnesspin 2 goes to red wire on harnesspin 3 goes to black wire on harnesspin 4 Not usedpin 5 goes to white wire on harnesspin 6 goes to blue wire on harnesspin 7 goes to purple wire on harness (this is to the second stage of switch and way different wiring)pin 8 goes to yellow wire on harnesshope this helps

My remote module has a red light on the inside that stays on even when I turn off the mojo. Did I wire it wrong?

i just want to make a point before anyone buys the remote. there are 2 DIFFERENT kinds of remotes on the website, make sure you read the description before you buy. One remote requires you to HOLD the button for ON, then RELEASE the button for OFF. The other is push on then push off. Cant wait to try this, thanks for the video

Mojo sells the loop wire (the detachable portion that Bruce modified to add the remote) as a replacement part for $2.99. Makes it easy to switch back and forth from using the remote, to using the decoy in constant spin mode.

Yes hook everything up with the switch on. The extra wire is an antennae. I'm getting about 50 yards on average with the remotes

Did you have a ground wire on the control module? Some of the modules I'm looking at have another wire, maybe it's an antenna? Also, Did you say that we need to hook everything up while the decoy is in ON mode?

What is the range on the 12Vmonster.com remote? Is there any substantial difference in battery life? Thank you, very helpful video.

I opened up the control modules and did not find a switch that I could run two mojos with only one remote
