Jesus died for all of us to go to heaven. Jesus went to hell buddy he is king of peace. A gift freely given to us we choose to not to receive it. You need Jesus buddy. We have a hard time to do good is because people don’t follow Jesus and follow his teachings about all the answer you are seeking. 10 commandments are the same as Jesus teachings. Being enslaved to sin is why it’s sad because it causes diseases, mental control is devils confusion. You have demons talking through you buddy. You are in bondage I pray for you your music is great. I'm very much a non demanational Christian. I don't like organized religion. I don't need someone who doesn't even me or my story telling me how to live. The Bible tells me how to live. Period. Having said that I very, very much enjoy Ghost. I think their music is fantastic. At the end of the day you can go enjoy a Ghost concert or binge Ghost videos and it's going to be okay. God knows what is in your heart. Live the best life you can, ask forgiveness for your sins, and enjoy some great music by Ghost.

As someone who was once a Christian minister, who ran a Christian youth center, and preached at Churches, and is now embracing Satanism. I can tell you the biblical version of Satan that everyone fears does not exist, not even in the bible. The claims of the devil in the bible are so blown out of proportion to terrify people. But it was "God" that allowed his prophets to call down fire from heaven to burn up his enemies and kill the firstborn sons of an entire nation out of favor for one religion. Adam and Eve were tempted by a serpent; it never says "The Devil." But if it is, he only offered them the knowledge God kept from them. And in true God fashion, he put it right in front of them, told them how great it was, and then said, "Don't touch it!" Hell becomes a concept in the New Testament but is very vague. Jesus said he would prune off the branches that did not bear fruit and cast them into the fire. That was taken as belive in Jesus or else. But consider all of the religions that existed before Christianity and how long it took for Christianity to spread. Does that mean the millions of people who did not hear the message post Jesus were sent to hell by default? Look at the modern, pop culture-infused Church. It is one giant confession that nothing they have done before works. They are basically a Tony Robbins conference with some Jesus sprinkled in, so they don't feel guilty about seeking what they want. Which is material success companionship. And a moral high ground so they can feel better about everything they feel obligated to feel guilty about.

It’s so fascinating how people interpret his views as actually believing and worshipping “the devil”. Our society’s incapability to have nuanced or slightly abstract discussion is um…interesting lol.

You don't believe in God because there is no proof, i understand that. I always question to myself, what would i reply when a friend who doesn't believe in God ask me such questions. However, now I think , I have the answer, i.e. You just know he exist! If he was something that can be seen and prove just like that , evryone, majority would be a Christian. You just need to have a faith , even just the size of the mustard seed will do. You are free to hate me. Lastly, be careful of the songs you listen and movies you watch. There’s no difference in the biblical devil and the pop cultural devil. This dude may be a good entertainer and a talented individual but he’s lost as a goose in regards to eternal salvation. When I listen to his words I hear lack of control. He talks about “freedom” in place of self control. He calls religious people “shitty.” He calls himself a “satanist.” He has a deep-rooted hatred for Christianity, specifically. Believe me, he knows what he’s doing but hey … it’s his soul. Free will, right? 🤷🏻‍♂️

I so hope Tobias is right in what he says about these apocalyptic times. Everything seems so bleak. Writing this just after trump’s assassination attempt and the trump train is running straight to the White House. Very very scary prospect. I hope he is right to be optimistic ❤

What is funny to me is all the self proclaimed Christians here who say they have no problem with band and this man's philosophy. He clearly states that he is a humanist and and rejects Christianity and that feeling good / doing whatever make you happy is his ethic above all else. He knows better than God. So I don't think the Christians and Catholics here know what they believe, or understand it. So if you examine them and don't agree then leave. Open rebuke is better than secret love. It sucks. I love god and am a catholic, but just because you have a bad childhood with Christian’s, I don’t think it’s ok to mock Christianity, but I ask god to forgive this man, and pray that he finds god. I do have to admit though, his music is good.

Oh man. I wish he realized who Satan really is. Humor, rock n roll, and freedom isn’t it. Satan is the vessel of darkness, depression, fear, despair, hate, oppression, loneliness, and eternal misery. He isn’t this misunderstood witty anti hero like he wants you to believe he is. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.

This pretty much spells put exactly why Ghost/Tobias' lyrics make absolutey zero theological sense, and also inadvertently why he is so casually blasphemous. As someone who loves the music of Ghost, I've always been incredibly disappointed with the laziness of the lyrics. Pretending "the devil" is simply misunderstood is intellectually dishonest at best, and abysmally immoral at worst. The louder your voice becomes the more responsibility you automatically and justifiably assume to the people around you. As an aside, there is no singular figure or entity in the old or new Testaments that encapsulates what is commonly associated with "Satan" or the "Devil" in popular western culture. That is to say, secular culturr has unsurprisingly completely misunderstood the Bible due to lack of reading and critical thinking, and of course not consulting people who dedicate their lives to its study and preservation of history. Anyway, at the end of the day there is no justification imaginable for writing a lovely little pop song and then in the chorus inserting the most blasphemous disgusting thing possible, aka insinuating Mary the mother of Christ is masturbating with a crucifix, the symbol of her son's/God's death and ultimate sacrifice. Its not cute, its not the same as AC/DC singing about casual sex, its straight up disgusting and abhorrent on every conceivable level. And in a secular sense what is even worse is how unnecessary it is in the song. Somehow Tobias missed the part in the Black Metal scene where all the "cool kids" grew up and started worshipping God's creation (aka nature worship) instead of actively worshipping evil.
