As someone who's custom-painted a few Nerf blasters, the best way to get paint to stick to plastic is as simple as washing it thoroughly in soapy water. Plastic toys still have mold release agent residue, sweat and other oils that will get between the plastic and the paint. If there are super smooth surfaces, a light sanding with an old, used scotch pad before you wash will help too. Leave it in a warm space overnight to dry, or dry it with paper towels or a lint-free cloth, but be careful not to handle it too much and get more sweat on it. gloves ftw

I know we all loved the AVGN and nostalgia critic back in the day, but their style of over the top hyperbolic negativity has very much passed its best before date. It comes off really forced making this wild comparison about a figures face which is bland and somewhat unappealing at worst. Like sure, it's not a great face sculpt, but it's no sewer mutant, and it's not scaring children. If you met this person in real life, they'd be out of your league, so it all falls kinda flat. I'd much rather you find your own voice for these videos, rather than aping the style of the old school negativity critics that everyone has rightfully moved on from. Like, I'm interested in the customization, but the cartoonish level of ragging on the head sculpt legitimately makes me want to just not bother.

Personally, I'd add some more pronounced grease stains to the knees and fingers. Butt I also don't have the talent to do what you did, so kudos!

Great job fixing these, I've been hesitant to buy from the first loose joint sighting and breaks heh. Such an odd choice, her face has the look of silicone airbrushing like what they used to make actors look synthetic in the movie A.I., I mean she is already made of plastic so "Huh?".

Personally, I would've used the Emma Frost Astonishing X-Men collectible for the head, and just paint her lips red (or a more flesh tone color) instead. I think you did a good job on the painting of the figure though - even if acrylics weren't the best choice.

I can see these working well for customizer’s to play around with and tweak.
