If Will IS still around (kinda hoping he is tbh), it’s less of they died in vain and more of someone (cough cough Vengeful Spirit cough) keeping Will around one way or another long enough for Fazbear Ent. to unintentionally give him an escape route via circuit boards. The vengeful spirit either kept him alive to torture him, or created his own personal hell in death, but either way didn’t allow him to go to hell and face eternal punishment there. Their fury allowed Will to escape. Their refusal to move on allowed more blood to be stained on Fazbear’s floors. They didn’t die in vain, SOMEONE wouldn’t let him go… But that’s just one of my theories!😅
