Three extraordinary musicians. I've always preferred Pat playing like this than some (by no means not all) of the music he plays with his 'Pat Metheny Group touring the world and playing in big stadiums. Miroslav and Roy are just amazing, as always.

I was at this one. The local jazz shows announced the night before that Miroslav and Roy would be joined by a special guest who would remain nameless. This usually meant Pat as he lived on the other side of Cambridge and could make it over to Inman Sq in half an hour. He had just released Song X the year before so his bop chops were in fine form. Magical music and memories. Thanks for posting.
