Older games definitely have this problem yep. Thankfully more modern point and clicks realize no one likes pixel hunting and so usually block progress due to puzzles or conversations, not looking at a shitty poster on the wall that blends in completely with the background haha. Thankfully the Nancy Drew dev team figured this out pretty early on as well. Stay Tuned for Danger has some bad pixel hunting as well but after that it gets much better.

No real plans to play Clue again as there really isn't anything left to show haha. Maybe I could play another version Clue in the future though!

Damn, that's super unfortunate. The level that tends to give me the most trouble is Shambala Sanctuary actually. Often it won't start the level after the intro cutscene.

Yeah when I made this video there was literally two for sale on ebay and they were both around $80 with shipping. Now there does appear to be a few more for sale and significantly cheaper but still not that many. My only thought is that most people got the game as kids in the cereal boxes like you mentioned so they never had a hard physical case to put the game in, leading to most of the CDs becoming destroyed and unplayable over the years. It's the one advantage cartridge games have over disk ones, they tend to survive better and can take more punishment.

I still have my version from the cereal box lol. I believe it was Cinnamon toast Crunch that I got it from and also have my Roller Coaster Tycoon from one of the GM cereals too just forgot which one.

The death scenes are definitely very intense haha. I'm actually shocked they allowed this game to be included in cereal boxes back in the day because surely some parents would have complained

Definitely could be the case, although this is the first time they actually have 3D models of Bess and George. Saved a ton of time on dialogue though haha.

As a matter of fact I have actually played that game as well and greatly enjoyed it. Yeah the atmosphere and environments of both games are kind of similar so I can see it. Locations themselves are pretty different though. This game take place near Vancouver Island in the Pacific Northwest while ATTWN takes place on an island off the coast of England. Maybe I'll feature a let's play of that game on this channel in the future

This one is particularly egregious. If they made the cart so slow, why the fuck didn't they add fast travel after you've visited a location!?

It's a strange one for sure.

It's a very unique one in the series for sure. I think a lot of people don't like it because it deviates from the normal format so much. With no suspects to talk to, it can feel like a pretty long slog of figuring out what to do next with no major breaks. I kinda like that though so this one isn't too bad for me.

Even then I had to run the game in compatability mode running Windows ME. You can give it a shot but no guarantee it works for you.

Its a huge time waster for sure. Clearly done just to pad out the game time
