Organic Chemistry Mind map approach
Просмотров 6622 года назад
Organic chemistry is one of the HOT topics in KCSE. In this short video, I teach you an approach called mind maps. Mind maps are a powerful way of revising organic chemistry. It involves creating a flow diagram that shows the properties of homologous series and how they are connected. Watch more videos from my channel @chemlabskenya8800

Effect of temperature on reaction rate
Просмотров 6 тыс.3 года назад
Temperature affects the rate of reaction by altering the kinetic energy of the particles. When the temperature is increased, the particles will gain kinetic energy resulting in an increase in the number of collisions. As a result, the number of effective collisions increases leading to an increase in the rate of reaction. Tips from the experts 1. Always view the conical flask in the experiment ...
Effect of concentration on reaction rate
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.3 года назад
The rate of a reaction is the measure of how much the reactants are consumed or how much the products are formed per unit time. In this experiment, we will investigate how concentration affects the rate of a reaction. Tips from the experts 1. Always work with clean apparatus 2. Hydrogen gas is produced in the reaction and so keep naked flames away. 3. The graph is a smooth curve and should be d...
Action of heat on ammonium nitrate
Просмотров 3,9 тыс.4 года назад
Ammonium nitrate is an important chemical used in the manufacture of fertilisers and explosives. It is an explosive chemical when heated. In 2020, 2.75 tonnes of ammonium nitrate exploded causing loss of lives. Caution must be taken when handling ammonium nitrate. The experiment is amazing. Thank you.
You only use one solution until you finish the table
Wow that's great 👍 thank you
I don't know why this channel is not active 😢. Sir your way of teaching is very heart warming. Otherwise I have learnt something big in combiing gas volume ls😊
Helpful
Very, thanks for orgnizing such a
On strong heating it melts to form a white sticky mass which gives of steamy vapours on heating more strongly the white residue gives off reddish brown fumes which turns moist blue litmus paper red the residue is pale yellow when hot and on cooling it changes into white colour
thanks a lot manze
The second reading and the third reading did you still fill the burret to be up to 0
Definitivamente lo recomendaré Gracias! Hasta en el español se entiende
Reddish brown fumes of nitrogen dioxide is evolved
😊😊
Do one need to change also the base for the second and the third titration
So helpful 🎉
you made it so easy to understand🔥🔥🔥
Best experiment inhave ever watched loved ot
0:42 yeah me too Yeah me too Yeah me too
You should do more of calculation that is where the challenge is
it is black
Two decimal places is preferable for the titre values obtained
Both 1 or 2 dp can be used
Observation: original colour- white ,colour change- turns yellow on strong heating ,gas evolved-(water vapour(initial))No2 reddish brown,O2colourless , residue- zinc oxide is formed yellow-hot ,white-cold.
thankyou
CuSO4 in the presence of strong heating gives us CaO black color substance and sulphur dioxide gas which is an acidic gas and oxygen
Tq sir
How about placing the sodium metal into liquid oxygen?
Sounds interesting, I will try it
Laughing gas
Isn't NO2 poisonous?😐 You are letting it out
Precautions have been taken.
What is the change in it physical or chemical??
chemical
Has to be chemical
chemical most probably
Thank u😇
Ratio 2:1

Kya matlab me bhi theory ke baad practical dekhne aayi hu

thanks for the stop watch reading sir, it helped me to write practicle notebook. thank you very much
When zinc hydroxide is heated ot decomposes to form zinc oxide and stream (chemical change). The residual zinc oxide is yellow when hot and white when cold(physical change). Zn(OH)2=ZnO+H2O ZnO(cold and white)=ZnO(hot and yellow)😊
Wonderful
2H2O ---> 2H2O+O2
Thank you sir lots of love and respect from India 💙
Great
hello, i thought u were gonna use a diluted stock solution and mix with the required NaOH solution inorder to get an accurate dilution result
Good work show more and back titration also organic chemistry 1and2 with practical
I bet you used Sulphuric Acid H2SO4 to acidify the water. The two electrodes are obviously decomposing the H2SO4 resulting in the two gasses H & O being collected. Show me water being split without using an electrolyte which contains H & O.
really helpfull...exams in 2 hours and i think i will do well:)
thank you sir.. love you from sri lanka.. 🧡
Oxygen
NH4NO3=N2O+2H20
N2O gas or nitrous oxide
Cool
Thanks I hope I remember it.....I have my cse exams soon
Best of luck!
I need other expt
I will do more
Love from India 🇮🇳
