Dakgangjeong is the sweetest of all Korean chicken dishes :) This is because the main ingredient in the sauce is starch syrup. Or maybe the dakgangjeong in the house you're visiting is particularly sweet. Sangchu ssam is one of my favorite Korean dishes. It looks so delicious. Thanks for subtitling the video. I had a good viewing thanks to that. I'll be waiting for your next video as well.

Fellow Singaporean here. We are in Vancouver and moved here in June 2019 :) We also questioned ourselves countless times whether it was the right decision leaving behind our stable life and good careers in Singapore to make the move here. We also came here with 2 very young kids so it was extra overwhelming. You can find lots of Singaporean/Asian food/Prima spice packs in the supermarkets here (but around 1.5-2X SG prices).
