I like that you were honest about the history of the park and celebrations that used to take place there. My ancestor, who was a German immigrant , fought and died to preserve the union here. We took his photograph and information about him as a soldier to donate. The ranger was so helpful and later I checked and they had added this information to the museum that is on the grounds there. I do like that they have the soldiers’ portraits on cards which told their stories and made it a personal experience. You are living proof that South Carolinians have come along way in their views on slavary and human equality.

Your filming would be enjoyable if you'd SLOWLY film. The scenes are too rapid, far too rapid to make out most of what you are filming. When you are talking you are moving the camera around more slowly so viewers can take in the sites. Review what you film before you post it and you'll see why I am making these useful suggestions. It would have been great if it you would have panned around SLOWLY to film it all. Good luck with future productions. I'll be looking for them!!!

Alligators are not friendly and they can attack. Dont know why anyone would walk so freely in alligator territory.

The canal trail is my favorite place to go bike riding. Flat. No hills love it.

This is not a joke. -- the AirBNB that you used has a history. It is a FONTANA HOUSE. It has had upgrades and renovations (much older than it appears). I know this info because I live in that area and the shape and size indicated that it was a "tiny house" before tiny houses were popular. It actually is an untraditional mobile home built to serve families that were part of the work crew building the Fontana Dam -- Someone at the time (1942 to 1944) of Dam construction many of these were built on huge skids and could be moved around by large equipment. After the project was complete...they were sold (for cheap) and bought mostly by locals. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you guys for a wonderful exploration of a park to explore. My husband and I did the same thing during the height of covid! Nature is so healing!!!! Great choice of music and when I come to the parks I want all alligators to hide from me. I don’t want to see southern term( nary a one)😂😂😂

Absolutely fantastic job with the history of Congaree National Park! A little more background on the General Greene Tree...it was named so because it was the largest tree in the area in the late 1700's. Because it was so large General Greene used it as a meeting place. Especially after the Battle of Fort Motte not too far away!

You can feed the zebras, just don't feed the ones with their ears back. That means they're mad.

My wife and I went today and had an awesome time. BUT we will never go back, only because of the restrooms. They have Porta-Johns that are absolutely filthy. I was forced to pee in one and I had the stench on me for 10 minutes after I got out. I held my breath the whole time. My wife opened the johnny door and said "Nope" and just held it, making her miserable the entire time. For such a nice place and good time, it looks like they could take care of their guests basic human needs a little better. Other than that it was great.

I really enjoyed your Video. I live in Edisto Island for 15 years, met my last wife there. Had Mike's Ice Cream at the old horizon gas station across the street from the pier. In the grocery store which was IGA became Piggly wiggly and then it became Bi-lo. And at Steamboat Landing is one of the Best and easy to get to for Fishing or Crabbing, have a Boat, there's a back way into the Charleston Harbor. It's a day trip it's really nice.!!
