J'aimerais savoir si quelqu'un aurait une idée de où est ce que je pourrais trouver une partition, ou quelque chose pour m'aider à essayer de faire quelque chose comme ça, mais bien évidemment en modifiant certaines choses pour les refaire à ma façon. And I agree with you...she is basic if anything at all. For instance I myself am a drummer that has never received any great fame or success but I am recognized by the people closest to me and in my community here in the city the musicians around know I am a great drummer. "John is an awesome drummer." is what I have heard from those in the scene. So I agree in that you and I never received too many accolades.But those closest to us give us all the praise we need because we know we are good. No?
A good drummer can recognize talent and will encourage it to grow as nothing is more amazing than to see a musician aspire. What is even more amazing is to see a little piece of yourself in your student when they play like you. It is cool Jason and it knocks the socks off a person. A good drummer can turn a squash into a good drummer. I think of myself when I started. Like a big albatross I floundered over the kit and my teacher patiently helped me learn and eventually I sounded good.
It is relative dude. Many people I have played with over the years cannot understand that John Bonham remains my numero uno idol. even more amazing is when I play I often fall back into Bonham grooves because the sound and feel good. I do not realize I am playing that way until another drummer comments on the Bonzo style. So dude it goes all around. Thanks for your reply.
Dude, I have drum students who are only 5-7 years old. They sound good and as such all professional drummers need to have a modicum of basic talent, but with practise she will get better. Sounds like she has her basics down. From here on in time and study and practise will only improve. Is it not cool that our fraternity of drummers is opening up to women in general. I think the problem is we drummers are a macho lot and when a female sits behind the kit it challenges us to be accepting. No?
yall are misunderstanding. she doesnt need to be amazing. all she needs to do is hold a beat. and guess what you clueless haters, she can. learn about drums before you comment. who cares about solo's ? i saw her live and she did great. as far as vocals go, it brings another element to the band. very good. as far as you dumb critics go, understand what it means to be a drummer in the first place. then you can critique.
I am not named any of those people. But what i am is a 30 year drummer, 20 years a professional, and have spent my life perfecting my craft. So i like to think i have some credibility to call somebody good or weak. And i sing too...for that matter.
Go see her live... This recording is crap, and quite frankly, so are most digital recordings... The only thing that can come close to live is a live recording on vinyl played on an old tube amp component system and some good 3 way speakers.. the kind your dad (hell now in some cases grandpa) used to have.
Unless your name is Ginger Baker, Neal Peart, Taylor Hawkins, Keith Moon, John Bonham Joey Jordisett, Phil Collins, Dave Grohl, pr Emanuelle Caplette... or a drummer in a touring band for that matter... there's not a lot of room for you to be calling it 'weak ass shit'. There aren't a whole lot of Drummers that can sing too... Reality is there aren't a whole lot of bands that don't sound better in concert anymore.. too much is done digital and nothing sounds 'organic' anymore
