Anything with Bob Hope in it is always corny, and this clip was no exception........EXCEPT......Raquel Welsh was incredible, her voice as a singer was seriously over-looked! I was getting Bonnie from Bonnie & Clyde vibes from her style in this clip.

They were definietely sugarless, my little sister and I tried eating one once, back in the 60s. My cousin had these for her dog (a Collie, weird that I never really see that kind of dog around anymore!) and she played a joke on my little sister and me by giving us one of the dog treats. They looked just like chocolate kisses but not wrapped in foil. Considering that they had no sweet taste at all, I doubt there was any xylitol or other artificial sweeteners in them. Those artificial ingredients became mainstream in American processed foods years later, not so much back then. The only artificial sweetener I really remember from back then was saccharine, and within a few years, it was deemed as cancer-causing.

I forgot how hot she was. It was a good skit. Cool song to act out for sure.

So I woke up this morning with this damned song stuck in my head! It got me to thinking of how a video of it could be made, so I went a-lookin', and here I am! This is pretty funny and Welch is just as stunning as she always was! Heaven really has an angel now!

Fascinating! Thanks for posting! The skit goes on way too long, and the jokes aren't funny---they would have been better off sticking more closely to the lyrics---but Raquel is great (not a bad singer either), and if I'd seen this as a 12 year old Beatles superfan, I would have been pretty darn excited. I wonder, though, why they decided to leave out the last, best line in the song, in which the dying Rocky rediscovers Gideon's Bible? 🤔
