All macro lenses for phones have shallow depth of field and there’s nothing can be done about it. It is how phone camera + macro lens work

Depending on a lens, mobile phone macro lenses usually have 3-6cm shooting distance. Our lens has 7-10.5cm shooting distance. So you need to take photos at a right distance. If you mean the blurry background then it is a shallow depth of field. All phone lenses have it shallow and it something that can’t be changed

With my products? I have iPhone 13 pro mac and 15 pro max, both work great. Your phone’s cameras are the same as iPhone 15 pro max. It may be that you block one of the cameras (that takes light information) or most likely the problem is camera settings. Turn on “macro control” in camera settings then turn off the macro mode in camera app

@b.zeynep1781 that is actually good. Because the macro lens can’t be used with the “macro camera” (which is the wide angle camera). Need to use the standard camera only. The standard camera also has the best sensor, so the picture quality is best. I use iPhone 13 pro max and iPhone 15 pro max for dental photography and I never use the macro camera mode on my phone

Turn off the “macro mode” to use the standard camera with better sensor. Turn off HDR to avoid overexposure on some phones

@NelisBaas I personally haven’t use Samsung phones. But I have feedbacks on Aliexpress where buyers say they took great photos with s21 ultra. As far as I remember there were photos too. Unfortunately, I don’t know about the specific settings for your phone. You can follow the same principle. Don’t use the macro mode and try if the quality is better with the HDR off or not

I am using 100mm macro lens in this video. It means that the maximum shooting distance is 10cm. Basically with this lens you can take photos and videos from 7-10 cm distance. There’s many fake lenses. They claim to be 100mm but in fact they are 60-70mm so the shooting distance is very short. Any macro lens needs to be used with the standard camera of your phone only! @Dr_Faisal hello. There is no noticeable difference for dental photography, but with 1370LUX brightness the working time per charge is twice shorter (about 2 hours on maximum brightness). The only advantage of using 1370 LUX is that you can take photos/videos from a longer distance. So, you can use MK-017 when you need more room. For example, some clients use this model to take surgery videos

For iPhone just turn on the “macro control” in your camera settings and when you see the yellow flower icon on the screen, turn it off. So you will turn off the macro mode and use the standard camera instead of the wide angle camera

MK-017 is better if you know anything about photography. MK-019 is for those who want it simple (no assembly needed, just take a use). MK-023 can take any angle photos (both vertical and horizontal phone placing), but for some dental protocols it will not suit due to the ring-shape reflections.

MK-017 is more adjustable (distance, angle and it’s also a bit brighter). MK-019 is easier to assemble and has a higher tripod. Depends on your needs
