Its insane how underrated this movie is

I don’t like how this movie insinuates that the barons were fighting on behalf of the common people as if they were pro-democracy. They only cared about themselves.

Paul Giammati's portrayal of the divine right of Kings 02:55 in this movie is just perfect

They actually cut off the actors hands and feet for this movie! Real commitment to the part!

Funny to see Brian Cox since he once play Henri (Henry) II of England, father to Jean (John). The reason I included their French names is because that while they ruled England they were of Norman (French) background, and so spoke French and not English.

Of all the scenes committed to film, the speech in the courtyard is the one I would've loved to witness on set.

That speech was so full of it. All the Divine rights and generations of "make believe" gravy for the masses, when IN REALITY _his crown was own by Norman's USURPATION since the Dux William invaded and won at Hastings WITH the help of barons, not "god's hands" anymore than Devil's help in perpetrating and conceiving an evil deed. Rochester castle is only across the river where I live I love this piece of local History although alot in the film was just fiction and in the true account no one escaped the siege of Rochester castle they where all killed

First time I saw him was in Big Momma's House. And he was hilarious in it (next to Martin Short, thats amazing), so I knew then he was a good actor. I soon learned he is amazing!
