Sweet now i have a cracked in half drives haft cover 😢😢😢
I'll be sure to send you the bill for the cover thanks
Do you think it’s worth it for me to get a bandit for my birthday
I've been trying for an hour and still can't install it
This video here just made my night just bought a traxxxas slash nd it slowed down on me nd heard grinding noises 😢😢than I found you my friend 😅thank very much 🫡
Mine won’t fit any suggestions?
Did you figure this out?
@@TXbeats62 I did, I mounted it straight to the motor bracket.
Personally I just upgrade my entire drivetrain then tighten the slipper as much as I can. It gives the slash 4x4 vxl enough punch to do wheelies on command!
Thank you so much I was just about to pull my whole rear end apart
nice short to the point and well done
which tire r u using
That driveshaftcover is a pain to remove and even more to put back with the motor and esc in the way. No idea who designed it that way but that person should be fired.. lol
These cars are a joke. Constantly fixing stuff all the time. Worst hobby ever.
Bro what?? 😂
where did you get the tool to fit that nut?
✨👍✨
Put a 3s in my slash and it sounds like it has a Rev limiter. Time to tighten this bad boy
Thank you so much for this video!! I have been pulling the entire rear bulkhead off and removing the slipper assembly completely to make adjustments, what a pain in the ass! Thank you!
I was just thinking the same exact thing!
Stop smacking your lips when trying to do a review
No one asked bro 💀
😂
How do you keep it from coming lose again? I understand have to repair it...but HOW DO YOU FIX IT ? Mine keeps coming lose after every drive.
Take it out and tighten it down. If it won’t stay tight, replace worn parts as needed.
Just got a rustler today with my uncle and it's a blast drifting around in the snow.
Are any of these the vxl version?
Just a head's up, The slipper clutch is intended to be a safety against damaging more expensive drive-line components in an impact. if you run it loose enough to use it as a traction control device, you'll be producing a lot of heat at the slipper's friction surfaces. That heat will soak into the spur bearings and the bushing. If you still have the plastic bushing, it'll be at risk of melting. (there's an aluminum replacement available) The heat will also cause accelerated wear on those bearings and the slipper clutch friction pads. I'm not saying don't do it, just cautioning you of what to expect if you do. :)
Great help i usually disassemble the whole rear end to adjust the slipper cluth..great help. Thanks ...
Man.. Thank you for this video. I am so dumb... i did not realize the nut is out there.. 🤦♂️ shame on me. THANK YOU for using 2 mins of your life to teach dumb people like me brother!!!! 💪🏽💪🏽👏👏👏👏👏
So this makes it faster???
No 😂
No but I guess it can seem as if so
theres a better way to get to the slipper clutch.. remove the entire rear assembly bulkhead by removing the 2 2.5mm screws (the big ones)on top and bottom where the bulkhead connects to the chassis and just pull it apart..slide the clutch out..much easier to work on
That is how ive been doing it, and its a real pain in the ass for Trying to fine tune it. Spend more time disassembling and reassembling than you do driving the car. I will no longer be pulling the entire rear end to make adjustments and youre a fool if you continue to after discovering this video.
Erevo 1/16 funny car but a little small Bandit very fast on circuit Ruster good everywhere very fun wheeling Slash good everywhere more stable, and beter for race
Thank you so much!! This really helped me
I have the Telluride. I tightened it as far as I could like in the video and it still slips bad if I floor it. Not even running brushless... any ideas? I just bash for fun, I’d rather it have zero slip. Suggestions appreciated, thanks. Note, if I ease into the throttle it runs ok... but not like I want it.
You cannot tighten it up all the way or you will break driveshafts and gears etc. The slipper clutch main job is to protect against this. It's not a matter of preference as this video implies. He just forgot to mention that. It sounds like your gear mesh is loose (between the pinion gear attached to motor and the spur gear that has the slipper clutch assembly attached to it.) The teeth of those two gears may be broken and worn off. You will need to get in there and see what's going on. Look up how to adjust gear mesh on your truck.
Get a spool and eliminate the clutch. Sounds like you’ve outgrown your RC and need to upgrade it further or step-up model wise. But be warned; you will end up breaking weaker links down the line….but as you break them, replace them with better/stronger/lighter parts (when available) and it’ll stop happening as often. Unless you bash to trash and then stick the with cheap stuff; you’ll be replacing stuff either way
Thank you so much, this really helped!
Why don’t people know how to NOT BREATHE INTO THE DAMN MICROPHONE. Sound like you drooling over some foot ya fatass mouth breather
Shit I took the hole rear end off
Very thorough. Thank you Sir.
I like tha tires
So this happens because the slipper clutch is loose right?
what hex keys are you using, where did you pick them up?
You suck duck
Thankyou for this need too do it too my VKar sc10 for the race coming up
Sorry but rustler is better than the slash
Why you think that? Just wondering because I'm looking to buy
You sound so gloomy
These dont work dont waste your money!
Made a huge difference in my Slash 4x4 vxl
They work great
Very helpful video
Hey man thanks for this REALLLY helpful video. It sent a wave of relief over me bc I thought I was going to have to go to my local hobby shop, ask them to fix it, and having to worry about spending money, but then I found you. Thank you SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!
Does it work with the Traxxis slash 4x4 1/16?
No i don't think it would fit
What's the scale on the slash
Karloz Cabrera the slash is a 1/10
It's very big for 1/10 scale, but rather slow compared to a rustler. Still, slashes are very fun to bash and race.
Should I get the rustler or e-revo 1/16
well, the e-Revo 1/16, in my opinion, is quite small. I personally have a rustler. They go around the same speed. The rustler is bigger and the E Revo is smaller but has the e Revo style suspension. I have a rustler and it is great!, the rustler is 1:10 so there is more 3rd party parts in my opinion
100% rustler it's just soooooo good off road and on road all u need is 3s on a vxl and u will go 75
what about brushed versions. the e revo is better
I'm just happy this truck is similar to the stampede there is nothing on how to fix a slipper clutch and this video gave me relief I don't have much money so I'm happy I didn't break anything and it just needed a adjustment I'm a year into this hobby and I can already tell it's going to be for years to come thanks for this video it helped a lot
Where you at now? Cars?
Nice video!!! Do you own all if them?? Which one is best?
looks like the Australian Donald Trump
how can you tell a full turn to a half turn when your adjusting this way, or is it just trial and error?
You count flats on the bolt. Flats as in the little flat spots on the head of the bolt your wrench goes onto. Your welcome.
I disagree on your opinion on the rustler because it is more capable of road then the bandit, and as you said the bandit is better at of roading which is not true, but it's just an opinion. Nice vid though bro, keep it up! (Why do you have so many stock cars?)
the rustler is probably the best car out of the lot
I know right. Sorry but my rustler blows my slash away with its 2.8 Trencher tires off-road and on road.
Dylan Brookbank if we're talking a stock 4wd slash vs a stock rustler the slash will eat it up. Technically he's right
Whoooa I don't know about eat it up, but yes the slash stock will generally be better off-road than the rustler. Especially with its high ground clearance. Speed and acceleration wise, the Slash would not stand a chance against the rustler. ADon't get me wrong, the Slash is very fast, but it's really just what your preferences for driving are. If you want a car that's very versatile and will rarely break, then the slash is for you. If you want a car that has some off-road capabilities and has wicked acceleration on road, as well as off-road, then the rustler is the way to go. I'd say stock, the slash is going to be much more fun off-road and more fun to bash, however both have their strengths and weaknesses?
The bikesandgame Mix I agree
Great vid
