East Coast Mainline - Snow from Hornsey station 2nd February 2009.
Просмотров 8 тыс.15 лет назад
Monday 2nd February saw London's biggest snow fall for eighteen years. With upto 10cm falling over the capital, all bus services were suspended. Along with many suspended London Underground Lines. Whilst overground trains were cancelled, and many suffered delays...They kept on going. So for some rare footage, taken at Hornsey Station in North London, of how it all looked and what the trains are...

A selection of short clips after a morning filming at Hadley Wood and Alexandra Palace on the Eeast Coast Mainline. Featureing a Grand Central Trains HST Valenta, NXEC HST (MTU's) and various other fast and local services. First time filming such, all shot on a Nokia N95 mobile Phone.
would be better w/out music
Nice video :)
Thank you.
Other than the camera being mounted on the end of a wet (to add weight) boat mop - none. But it allowed the smooth sweeping and 'up close' as the boats came past - sometimes the most simple of things can work, consider this the camera used was a simple Creative Vado HD - its fixed focus lens plus a bit of post work gave the 'dreamy' effect.
What stabilising system are you using?
I recognised some software on your pc... Spotify and Audacity -- I use them both, they're great
Superb video brings back the memorys of a great place and a quiet pace of life many thanx.

Should be... Could you please post all the settings you used to achieve this high quality? I'm experimenting trying to find a good balance between size and quality. Thanks!

great video. 477 views. aw poo.
@Frederickpou I have the 3GS. It may well be that the 3G is not capable (speed wise) to run the App as a 3GS or iPhone 4 can. Having said that, you say it takes a long time taking each picture. I set it to take 1 every 5 seconds for 1 hour at 1 time. I also have the phone in airplane mode during capture. After an hour I render the clip and begin over. Then I export each 1 hour movie to camera roll from there to computer and thrn edit said footage on the computer.
What iPhone do you have? I have the 3G and what happens to me is that my phone spends a lot of time taking each picture, is it normal?
Do the trains still plow snow or do they run those trucks up on the tracks. I think it would be cool to see a train coming blazing snow
Good Video, Lets hope for more snow, and more great video's, keep them coming :)
I have commented before but have to comment again - this really is a fantastic photo montage video - is mesmerising and beautiful and music fits it so perfectly - really am surprised it has had so few hits
Awesome video 5 star quality
Thanks for the comments. Took an age to do over 3 months back and forth and then getting a suitable audio track to go with it was another battle and then getting the footage edited to go with said audio phew!
To be honest I was disapointed with it. It was meant to be all creepy and blury and suchlike but begins a bit 'Benny Hill' when doubled up the speed of me walking...Which was going to be me running away from some scary something. I think the only good part is at the Church at the end. I may try this again.
Fantastic footage! Some stunning shots, just love the movement! Well done!!!!
Great video!! What music is this???
Brilliant job - amazing results and well worth the effort of setting up the cameras and pulling all those photographs together
Great footage, didn't need the soppy music though.
A month down the line That was a bleak day last month. Enjoyed the vidio mate.
Cool
Cheers!
Very good!
Great video and varying trains. 5*s and added to favourites
