@AndrewFrancis I sorry to hear that you lost another friend, it's hard when you get close with someone and find out that there was a tragedy that happened to them, I know how you feel, when I found out that my nana had passed away, I felt like I got punched in the face, it was that hard for me, I didn't even want to go to her on March 11th, she passed in Feburary 24th, but my dad chose March 11th for the funeral and last year my grandpa passed on November 19th, even that was hard, too, hope you get better and I know you don't like to hear or read this...but I am praying for you and your friends, I don't enjoy seeing or hearing that actors and actresses go through tragic experiences, you're not alone in how you feel

This was my review of the song when the episode came out. Basically, I saw it as a bad replacement for the dialogue that needed to be in that scene: The song was one of those songs that kind of reminded me of why I disliked musicals for most of my life . . . There's a lot of interesting drama to be explored in seeing this kind of interaction of persuading everyone to give the changeling a chance; back and forth dialogue and emotions. But it's all kind of skipped over in a pretty song, most of the lyrics I didn't even follow, after which everyone is hunky dory. Spike never even explicitly said, "He's actually Crystal Hooves, I was just scared to speak up." He just sings about how a changeling can change and how he is sometimes scared and makes mistakes/isn't so heroic. Can other ponies see the flashback images showing during a song? Is that just a metaphor for conversation I would've rather actually be spoken instead of musically inferred? I'm not sure how musical numbers work, but Spike only explicitly says that he forgot to be kind and the changeling knows the real him. Would've loved if Starlight, Twilight, Cadence and Shining Armor all had parts in the song, with the song addressing their thoughts and allaying their concerns. Another issue was the facial expressions in the song. For example, I totally buy Starlight Glimmer being won over by the song, 'cause she had an expression where she was conflicted and thinking near the end of the song. Everyone else is mostly just stone faced until Twilight accepts him, than they're not even tentative but enthusiastic in their sudden acceptance. A more hesitant delivery of the same lines would've helped. The animators and voice actors could've done a lot to allay the rushed feel of the song, without even adding more minutes. But instead animation was recycled during the chorus and than and their emotions just 180 in seconds.

Just off the intro, I am a little curious to try one if they still sell the original, though I know what others have gone through.

I interpreted “favorite drink” as “favorite watering hole/place to swim”, so it’s like “balloons over your favorite drink” is a pool party.

Definitely feels like you put a lot of work into this video, and the insight at the end about the villain made me think about it differently. Cynch really is the most intense villain in MLP's lineup, solely for the fact she didn't need magic in order to be a considerable threat

I think it should've started of with like how your intro is with building up the guitar and the bang when the logo comes in! I loved "What More is Out There", but dammit, why couldn't it stay a duet?! I loved it so much, especially with the deleted detail of Sunset's conflicting emotions to want to go back to Equestria (Why do I want to cover this suddenly?). CHS Rally really gets me in a school spirit and it really is well done... So why does this for some reason give me HSM vibes (My sister has me watch them with, DON'T JUDGE!). I like the 4th song but... Damm does it seem way to serious, you guys do remember this a sports festival right? Reject? Losers? Damm. As for Release the Magic... I am forever scared of Midnight Sparkle and NEVER want to see her again. But jeez, when Equestrian magic coincides with humans, does ultimately corrupt or what? Especially with... *Shoves hoof in the Cinch's face* This B-Word! ...Thank you for your time xD

Well... that ending was unexpected. I really like Friendship Games, it's a good movie and introduced us to Sci-Twi who is definitely a great balance to the EQG group. Though honestly, I don't care much for her song, it just doesn't do much for me and isn't one I go back to listen to. Unleash the magic was definitely a great villain song, something we don't have a lot of in the entirety of MLP. Personally, I would say the stand-out is ACADECA.

Atheist comment aside, this is certainly a great look into answering such a common thing in fandom culture. Even those that don't associate with furries do find such joy in seeing anthro characters at work in their media. Plus anthros are in our culture beyond such imaginary boundaries. Look at the countless sports teams and their mascots! Also glad you gave a shoutout to Beastars. A great series for a lot of demographics of people, even with the adult/dark content in there.

Additionally: There's also an element of expressiveness in anthropomorphic characters that's lacking from human characters, and elements of inhumanity that can be explored as well.

When I listen to a friend for lifeI think of how the mlp friendship is magic series premiere and the season 2 premiere ended. After listening and hearing the lyrics of a friend for life also think about people realize what they were missing like Twilight.

That lip synch animation is superb! I don't think I've seen any other Brony analysis video with this level of quality in terms of OC movement. The actual musical breakdowns are interesting as well. Great job!
