Actualy, the part where the kick landed before the coach corrects it was going to snap the feet of the guy kicking, the man landed on the knee of the coach brother, you don't know what you're talking about

If you hadn't noticed, I do Muay Thai, I'm not teaching "street fighting". In this demonstration, I was teaching about calf kicks which mma fighters think are amazing and my student didn't kick my calf for the demonstration, so I had to correct him. I guess that's why I'm the coach and your best fight you ever had was from behind a keyboard.

Would actually like to know how you think this is dangerous for the blocker?

@@Team_Pinky_Muay_Thai it’s not dangerous. It’s for taking more leg kicks to the shin and not have any pain showing. Those leg kicks become a mind game after a while

@michaelmann2637 are you referring to "shin conditioning"? That is all part of training anyway. The best way to condition your shins is by kicking the heavy bag and pads, bruising them up a little, then going again. It's a constant process and there is no quick way to do so without long-term issues.

I'd have to totally disagree agree with that. If the guard is just there snd being stagnant, no matter how you get hit, it'll look back. But with an active guard, there should be no problem. This guy is arguably the #1 Muay Thai trainer in the world right now, he can be 100% trusted on these basics. In saying that, I love when people question thing, as it shows a willingness to find out new information. Thank you for engaging on here

Absolutely not. Hence why the title says that I made a mistake. In a fight, I could possibly have saved myself but definitely didn't start off in the post possible way

@@Team_Pinky_Muay_Thai What I've been doing is that I set up the lead leg kick with a jab to blind the "opponent" and then teep, using a hop step back with the teep to gain space, and then I follow up with a rear leg roundhouse into a cross or a spear elbow. Would that work in a sparring or even a competition scenario?

@Tom67Slick there was alot of issues with that one, including different weight divisions. Not a fight that should have been expected to be taken
