I'm happy that I found a video of how the car sounds in the original, everywhere on YT you can only find tuned cars with aftermarket exhaust. I'm also thinking about buying such a car second-hand. However, the car I want to look at already has almost 200,000km on the clock. What about timing chain and durability of the engine? I know that the older VR6s unfortunately often had problems with this.

@@nwordbro2066 No, I didn't buy this car. However, I was lucky enough to find a VW Passat CC 3.6 that has the same engine and even 300hp. In addition, I have found a rare, well-maintained car, which has 118.300km on the clock for its now 16 years, as of today. However, the car has the same engine as in the Superb, only a few hp more because it is allowed to rev higher. With a leisurely driving style, it only treats itself to 8.7l per 100km, but over 10l is also quickly possible if you want to have fun. And that car can make fun. Gently cruising or fast accelerations are both possible, bc the car has also the DSG. Our car has no problems with the timing chain so far, but I had also changed the oil directly when I bought it and filled in better oil (0W40) and also an oil additive with wear protection. Let's see how long I'll be lucky with the car. 😅
@@nwordbro2066 I also have to mention that I now know that the VR6 from the Superb and Passat CC and R36 does not have exactly the same engine as in the Golf R32 or the old Audi TT or Audi A3. The 3.6 FSI has a different cylinder bank angle and should also cause fewer problems from the timing chain than before. The 3.6 FSI can also have problems with the timing chain sooner or later, but less often. Especially if you switch to an annual fixed interval with the oil change and use better oil.

This is a dream spec for me. 2nd gen superb twindoor in the maroon metallic color with the vr6. The stock exhaust sounds great in my opinion.
