Without that information, Aqua can only assume that it was thanks to Akane that the corpse was found and feels terribly guilty because he believes he caused her to have that terrible experience, as he called it. Let's think about it, none of the information Aqua “fed” Akane is relevant to finding a dead body. Aqua told her about Gorou's dreams and his relationship with his grandparents. He didn't even tell her that the person he was looking for was already dead. And we can see that Akane doesn't think about it again or feel the sudden desire to search by herself. But, since we're talking about Aqua, he assumes that opening up to someone for the first time about one of his most closely guarded secrets would have terrible consequences. In this case, he thinks he was the cause of what happened because he hoped that his body would be found, and so he apologizes to Akane for that.
