That's what you get when you have 12 teams in a playoff. There are probably 6 teams that are the strongest in the Nation and everybody else is at least a level down from there. This isn't basketball (where you have 12 - 15 players) where it's easier to build a team and you CAN have a lot of close contenders in a season. You have to recruit A LOT of players in football, so it's SO tough to put together that top notch squad. And in all consideration, Indiana really put SOME team together in just ONE YEAR! It just wasn't one with talent right up there near the top.
