I have a question. You made the show function of xyz class as static. The rule says you can't call an static function or variable directly by creating an object. But you called it by creating an object of XYZ class and it worked. Why? It should not have worked.

Again wrong at 15:40 u said get() will bring every data,no boss...get will bring result object like num rows affected rows n all...get it print then u will see ...get() and query() just bring result objec not data in result. Data come when we will call some method on result object like this $q=$this->db->get('select * from tablename') $q print karao ismei table se data uth k nahi aata check kro print krk..ismei result as an object aata hei Data table se laane k lie next code next line mei likhna padega aise $q->result() This will return whole data from table but as an object Or $q->row() This will return single row of data from table as an object 15:42 Or $q->result_array() This will return whole table data in pure array from table

When i click submit it redirects me to "localhost/code/index.php/category" it should load the same page, furthermore by .htaccess we had bypassed index.php. i haven not linked submit button to any page still it redirects like this. in your case clicking submit button loads the same page category.php And neither the form validation works although i loaded the form validation library. Please help
