90% of pastors are narcissistic and abusive

Narcissism in the pulpit Pastoral abuse 90% of pastors are highly narcissistic 30% of pastors have full blown Narcissistic Personality Disorder www.darrellpuls.com/images/AACC_2015_Paper_NPD_in_Pastors.pdf link.springer.com/article/10.1023/B:PASP.0000020689.53047.28 Note: Zondag makes a lot of unbiblical assumptions in his article so evaluating his conclusions BIBLICALLY I don't agree that any ...
This is 100% true. Plus they support each other in their abuse. I have experienced this personally. I no longer have faith in any Pastor. They are in it for the money. They destroyed my family.
How many pastors have you met ? Four denominations do not represent the hundreds sects and creeds. Studies can say many things based on there background. Matthew 16:18. God has a church and a ministry. You judge a church by the message not the poeple. Thanks much. P.Moon
I called many narcissist 'Hireling Pastors' in my Spirit 'Pastor Bastard' Jesus Christ said in Matthew 23:10 'And don't called Leaders, For one is your leader and its Christ'
Church is for believers to fellowship with one another. There’s no fellowship. The only acknowledgement of one another is when the pastor instructs everyone to greet the people sitting around them. Unless you are in a click of course. Those people talk to each other. There is nothing remotely close to fellowship in a church except for the once a year church picnic where you know nobody because the people you see on a weekly bases don’t even know your name. It’s a joke!
This is very true and very sad and unfortunate but true.
This is a huge problem. I'm glad the man in the video outlined a couple of solutions, but didn't mention prayer! We need to pray as churches and nations that the Lord may boot these puffers out of the pulpit. Maybe it's hard for us to remove an abusive and self-seeking pastor, but not for God. Even if we're isolated and solitary, pray that the Lord will raise up new churches, or new churches within old churches, where the focus is on fellowship and not on idol worship. We can do nothing, but the Lord has a mighty arm. Let judgement begin in the House of the Lord. Amen.
Unfortunately , even in small churches... it's not all there is... there was lots to discover about the people in the worship team ... who tried to seduce... , were not confessing Christians but with a New age kind of mix ... with that being justified by some ... that we all have to be patient and let people grow... But it led to a lot of issues and difficulties and might have been a stumbling block to others not converted yet.. Actually " thanks to " those encounters with the people in the team I've come to learn about narcissism.
I don't doubt it!
We have had a string of narcissistic pastors. One wanted to bring in the relative of a high-ranking church official and make him an elder--without telling the congregation or parents that the man was a convicted child molester. When we blocked him from doing this, he smeared us and blacklisted us not only at his church, but at the next 2 churches we attended. We left Christianity for over 10 years and only recently returned. Not much has changed, we're now dealing with yet another narcissistic pastor who has done everything in his power to keep us from participating in "his" church. He also smeared us to the congregation, but fortunately, this time, we have friends who saw through his power plays and have defended us. It's been a tough road, but we're starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Information like this is so important. We've also read, "When Narcissism Comes to Church" and "Bully Pulpit" Both are available on Amazon and both have much valuable information on this important topic. Thank you so much for making this video.
My Pastor is the most humble hardworking man I have ever met. I am so grateful I found his church.
For alot of pastors sunday is their pay day through the non biblical doctrine of tithing, which i believe is the major problem,
But, the congregation also have demons. They go into the world, and the world devours them. When they go to church, the anxiety and depression on them affects the atmosphere of the church, and the pastor is affected by that atmosphere. It is both ways. The solution is to have a church that is anointed, where everyone invites the Presence of God to wash everyone of the dirt they picked up from the world. All the anxiety and stress and depression they picked up from the world. Just watching the news on TV alone, if you are not careful, some spirit of anxiety and fear may rub off on you. The church cannot be a place of preaching only the intellectual stuff. It cannot be. It has to be a supernatural event, where the fire of the Presence of Holy Spirit must be present. The demons HAVE to leave where believers gather. If the gathering has no anointing, the demons will not leave, and we will be in trouble.
I believe it. Why in the hell does a Pastor need a celebration day, when Church is about God, not them.
Thank you for speaking the truth
The christian narcissist. An especially sadistic predator. Who betide being employed by one. Run......!
I travel a lot and visit churches throughout the USA what I came to the conclusion most take this role as a “back up career” and not a true role to care and lead people to Jesus Christ. Many have a past of being fired from a high position such as previous politician, lawyer, or some kind of supervisory role that placed them above others Another thing that disturbed me when people come to them for help for deliverance, support, grief they don’t care to pray for those people or simply call and follow up with them Last, if you do one thing that “annoys them” they are quick to cut you off and never follow up with you to make amends and if they wrong or hurt you they will not APOLOGIZE
Steve Anderson just put in a psyche ward so yeah
I unfortunately got involved with a widowed pastor whose narcissistic abuse changed my life forever. I will never attend a church again, and found a strength inside of me I didn’t know I had before. God is my shield, not the sick men and women who gaslit me when I spoke the truth at last.
Narcissism can literally kill you!
Forcing people to wear masks in church is abusive i believe. I could not attend if i refused. My husband is addicted to drugs and drinks occasionally too. The pastor does absolutely nothing and pretends to be his friend. I am physically sick and emotionally exhausted. However i seem to be the problem in their eyes. I will never be the same.
it is unfortunate for sure. But you miss an obvious problem, everyone is narcissistic! Also I an skeptical of most statistics that end in a 0 or 5.
I just experienced this tonight for the first time. I will not be returning to the church to say the least. He may be able to preach but there is no love behind it. The pulpit is used as a place to attack church members personally in a covert way. I’d rather just listen to the sermon from a different church online.
A guy taking a pastoring job and has no actual career is unbiblical. They are lazy and making it a point to avoid real and productive job or business.
Not every pastor is like this. Thank God I was blessed to have a wonderful pastor growing up!
Pastors are assholes. Source: I'm a pastor. Fr I know ego plays a lot into people desiring a vocation that puts you on a platform and the center of attention. I work to keep it in check... many of my peers dont even try to keep it in check
YEEESSSSS!!!
Coming from a narcissist father and retired Minister . Never trust a pastor . Pray to God and not mad
I’m sorry, but who gave any of you the authority to BE a “pastor?” I know where priests get their authority. From a long millennials long line of apostolic succession, beginning with the apostles. Where are you guys getting your authority? Self-appointed, making up doctrine as you go, based on pride. It’s nonsense.
When being a pastor became a career path it became problematic. Ive seen pastors treating it as just a job and would just go to a different ans bigger church when the opportunity arose.
You werent a fill adult until you were 30, thats why Jesus started his ministry at 30.
My X-husband is a pastor and he was so abusive . He has everyone fooled and when I left him all the other churches slandered me (flying monkeys) and believed his lies, I don't need a mediator between me and Jesus.
This Video Is 7 Years Old & Significantly Valid For Me To See As Tho It Was Just Posted 🤯 Thank You God And Thank You For Posting 🙏🏽
You have a beautiful heart. I am praying for this situation. I think the Lord is increasing the sensitivity of His sheep to become more selective and prudent. Jesus said: “I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. “I am the Good Shepherd; I know My sheep and My sheep know Me- just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father-and I lay down My life for the sheep." (John 10:11-15)
I always get scolded when I tell Christians that American church isn’t biblical. Everything from the big buildings, the tax free status, the paid clergy, the hierarchy of the senior pastor, guilting people into tithing, and the business practices they use to market and grow congregations. Sickening.
Disconnect being a pastor from getting a salary. If a pastor has to work a real job in addition to being a pastor, I doubt egocentrics will be drawn to it.
My mother, a single mother in the 1960's, had her pastor come to our house and make moves on her. He was in that church for decades and we weren't regular church goers. I now understand why.
We just left a church where the pastor was a toxic authoritarian. No accountability he and one of the trustees handled the church finances as a personal checking account. When asked about it, the pastor would get defensive and say everything is above board, creates silos, and would run anyone who would hold him accountable. Then preach a two series on why the other person is wrong and walking away from God by leaving his church.
This is sooooo true
🦅☀️🐯😎 THANK YOU ATTEND SMAL CHURCH PRIVATE HERE IN FLORIDA

Ok so a lot of us in the Relationship Narcissistic Abuse community believe there is a Spiritual aspect to the abuse. We talk about demonic manifestations. And most of us are not terribly religious before - Black eyes, distorted faces, grunting. I SAW black whirling balls upon both Narc discard.
Jesus Christ is an Egalitarian ❤ all misogynistic religions globally are false religions! They are man made and they try to elevate human males to God status over females 😢 all narcissists male and female are misogynists.
I was stalked by a narcissist Baptist minister for 5 years, he had several sheriff officers in his church and labeled me as a potential criminal. Then managed to attain the Sheriffs invasive device to watch me in my home with his people from his church operating the equipment. He had his people break into my vehicles at night and move things around so that I had no peace of mind. He sent church people to tell me that he owned me, and that if I did not work in his church that I was a floater and my life had no value or meaning. The Sheriff patrol cars were driving by me most every day and to me seemed to be a threat. The Pastor demanded that I go on medication and in his opinion I was mentally ill, so I went on the medication, then he wanted me off the medication. My Father died and the Pastor harassed me before and after his death. The Pastor tried to steal the inheritance money with the invasive equipment. I caught him in a crime, he went to trial and to prison. My reputation is ruined, my family is gone, and the Sheriff is still after me 20 years later. The Justice system cannot dismiss the Sheriff and the invasive equipment is still to this day on my private home. God has spared me for 25 years.
It’s pretty bad when the world is more loving than the church. Been there done that. Had a horrible experience with one of these two faced wolves and it leaves scars. They will manipulate, they gossip and slander and will absolutely take no responsibility for what they have done to people. I don’t trust easily as a result, you can never be too careful.
Just so yall know at 21:59, “adultery with a 14 year old” is actually r@pe
💯💯💯💯FACTS!!! Ex-husband was a Covert Self-appointed pastor/deliverance minister because of the Power, Control, and donations. He was a prison convert (no offense) but it made it difficult for him to work. He used and abused myself and the children, abandoned us with extreme cruelty, committed adultery, then abruptly divorced me and immediately married a younger woman who he was in adultery with, and they just kept the ministry going. His followers as well as our mentors all cosigned because he’s charismatic but the destruction and devastation he caused (well the demons in him because our true battle is spiritual) is still being repaired 2yrs only. I was told I was bitter, I need to move on, blah blah…but he hasn’t seen his 3yo son in 2yrd but has a fatherhood program. I just really pray 🙏🏾 the hypocrisy will stop!! Jesus Christ is our Hope and He is so loving ❤and so merciful!
Sadly the people who are watching this video will still go back to their church because they feel they have to.
The spirit of Jezebel
Exactly
This is why I converted to Judaism. At age 72.
So much truth here. The pastor centric church life and career path points are so on point...
I also love the fact that you're not trying to flee the church, but to change it. I've come back to church this year with that exact mindset where I will not stay silent anymore. There are good people in there too.
