Seattle Kraken Minute - Matty Beniers Mania
Great analysis! On that first goal, did you back it up further to see what led to Mahura being on his off side, and whether Borgen should have picked that up earlier?
Yeah, they actually got switched in the offensive zone, then as the play came through the neutral zone, Borgen moved to the right side, and Mahura didn't go back to the left. Instead, he made himself available for a breakout pass from Borgen (behind the net) to Mahura (at the goal line on the right halfwall). The pass didn't connect and went up the wall to Harley, which is where the video picks up.
love it. Keep it going!
Love this! Hope you can make it a recurring thing! Would love a key play breakdown showing the x's and o's after every game!
Love it! An observation though, I don't see Wright driving the net. He goes wide and stops in the bottom of the face-off circle, but doesn't get near the crease.
Fair point. What I should have said was that he went toward the net and made himself available for either a pass from Larsson or a rebound if it happened to get kicked that way. Was speaking off the cuff!
love it. keep these going.
Outstanding! There's not enough time in the broadcasts for the KHN team to get into this kind of detail, but really slowing it down, adding in the graphics to make the moving parts really clear, and talking about the intent and options behind the play is super valuable. Thanks for doing this, and I hope we can see more!
Feel like Darren should be walking while breaking down these plays
Walk and talk, chalk! Yes!!
This was my fav play of the game. The disruptive drive, the three options, the cut back, the pass, and tip. I wanna see this all season. Also since I listen to the podcast at 1.5. I had to watch this at 1.5x speed. 🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣
This is really great analysis! Looking forward to more.
What is this madness? A SoH RUclips Video?
what a clown wi the stupid face mask. aint protecting nothin
Why are you still wearing a mask ? The interviewer sounds aweful like a bad mic feed .
Love it! I was however shocked that he doesn't know what the breaks mean. He may be kidding but it doesn't matter anyway. He's a bad a*s.
Talking thru a mask sounds really dum...why...?
❤❤❤
Atleast you guys with ur little expansion teams going to the playoffs 1st year and 2nd year of existence. My team has been in the playoffs twice in like 14 years. And Canada, the most hockey country on the planet hasn't even been able to enjoy a cup for any of our 7 teams in 32 freaking Yeats. Sorry I had to rant, i was rooting for them too I bet it socks. But just think if they're this good year 2 seattle will have alot of exiting meaningful hockey to watch for awhile I'm sure. I'll come down from vancouver if the canucks continue with they're bs.
As a Stars fan im here to say congrats on a extremely surprising run in the playoffs. Yall beat the Avs the defending stanley cup champs and pushed us to a Game 7, be proud yall got to such a far season. Its barely the 2nd year and already made it far, keep building and stay with a chin up high. 💚
From a Dallas Stars fan, congratulations to the Kraken! What a great year and great team! You pushed Dallas to the limit!
Thank you both so much. You've set the tone for this community, and we're all so grateful for how hard you've worked for so many years. I hope that you know how important your smart, welcoming, silly, insightful voices mean to all of us. Crapweasels forever!
Hey, thanks for the incredibly kind words, JD! Go Crapweasels!
It was a hard game to watch. SEA never felt in it until the last minute. Gruuuuuu was great all night though. And those shot blocks!
If you told me that the Kraken were only a handful of games away from the conference finals I don't know if I would have believed it. This team has been so much fun to watch this season and I am extremely curious how they draft and what offseason moves they make. Looking forward to hearing what your guys think! Cheers!
That hit on Suter 🤌I've quickly become a Tye Kartye super fan. I really enjoy these Kraken Takeaway videos, thank you for doing them
Really enjoy these Takeaway videos to supplement the regular podcasts. Keep up the great work fellas!
Wow lot's of confidence about the Kraken winning game 6! I can't believe it
It would be really cool if you guys continued the series for the rest of the playoffs even if we don't advance. Just breaking down each game. I enjoy these a lot
The thing that's odd to me is that the Dallas fans are so relaxed about it. They were in the exact same place against the Wild last round and came through. They're telling themselves that all is ok. Hopefully the players are too, if we can get that Game 4 win and push them to the brink that would be great.
Hoarse Darren sounds like a combination of John and Darren. That freaked me out a bit.
LET'S GOOOOOOOO! So awesome following this playoff run from KY! Keep it coming Kraken!
John having the rally towel ready makes me so happy
frauds. gary couldn't even cover you this time
Love these reviews, great work guys.
I like happy John and Darren much better.
I feel your pain, sometimes I have to watch something else for a bit and go back. Good thing I record them all and watch them again. Also I think that it helps having players on the the roster that have gone through this a time or two and know how to prepare for it, mindset as well as knowing that next game is as important, knowing that yes, you win the Colorado series but another one start tomorrow, nothing to celebrate just yet. I think this is what separates both us and Vegas from the other new comers over the years! Both of our franchises have more talent earlier then any of the others did as well as players that have recently WON the cup for other teams. One can only hope that we can sustain this run this year as well as the future. Go Kraken!
They’ll be rocking in Puget Sound tonight
We hit them! Gives me hope for series
Love the new Kraken Takeaways here, guys. #StickTapsForAndy
Let’s go
The boys went down twice, witnessed peak Pavs in his return to the ice, blew a two goal 3rd period lead, got .886 from Grubie in net...and WON 🐙
So many opportunities to crumble, none taken. THATS KRAKEN HOCKEY BABY
Love this new supplement to the Sound of Hockey podcast -- keep it up fellas!!
go stars

The dog looks concerned.
Dallas doesn’t win in OT. 15 OT losses in season
But one of the OT wins they had in the regular season? Was over the Seattle Kraken.
THEY ARE WINNING THE WHOLE DAMN THING
I AM SO HYPED
Kraken have done well with on the road games, so that adds to my optimism that they can pull off a win in game 7.
I like how realistic y'all are. May the best team win Game 7. Good luck to your kraken but I hope my Avs take it. I will also say whoever wins this series is the team I want to win the West.
This was painful
What, our performance on the video, or the game? 😂
@@soundofhockey6691 the game !!!! Such a different team showed up . Sorry not the video
Love the sher-wood stick in the background Darren! Keep the John pics coming.
Only a one game suspension for Makar. Absolutely brutal decision by Player Safety.
