Crazy Horse monument is a tourist joke. I saw it in1974. Last visit was 2010. No real change except shops to sell merch.
I just love South Dakota.
Drove right through Cawker City and didn't mention the worlds largest ball of twine?
Thank you for sharing :-) Yeah, I didn't know about it until after the video was published.
@@TravelGuidesfromKris it's pretty fun there's even a place you can get twine to add to it
I will definitely check it out when I'm out that way again 😁 sounds like fun!
Great resource for our upcoming trip to Kansas. One thing I've heard others list that i didn't notice here are the salt mines.
I'm glad the video is helpful for you! And thank you for mentioning the Salt Mines. Yeah, I didn't know about them until after I posted the video.
I was just in SD…already planning my next trip
Most people think the Democrats freed slaves but thats not true at all it was the Republican who's says all men are equal
I was planning on visiting, but with Kristi Noem I don't want to end up in the gravel pit
We visited there about a year ago and loved it and want to see more beautiful state
I'm glad you had a good visit :-) it truly is a beautiful area!
Hi, new sub here from the UK! 👍
Thank you for subscribing!
@@TravelGuidesfromKris no worries, we are starting to travel a little more frequently to the USA now so would like a little more knowledge! 👋👍
Pine Mountain state park Kentucky.

That’s a very well done video Kris! Thanks
Thank you so much!
Thanks for this vid. Planning a road trip from Edmonton, Alberta.
Outstanding :-) I hope you have an amazing road trip!
My husband and I are thinking about going on a road trip to Kentucky and your video was very informative and helpful.
That's great! I hope you two are able to do the road trip :-)
Is October a good time to visit?
Unfortunately, not everything is going to be open. But I've visited in the winter and still enjoyed Badlands, Mount Rushmore, and the area's scenery. You wouldn't deal with crowds.
@@TravelGuidesfromKris thank you.
Beautiful and comprehensive video. The happiest 15 years of my life were in Southwest Oklahoma. You brought it all back to life so clearly that I unexpectedly burst into tears while seeing all our familiar favorite places. ❤
That's so nice :-) I'm glad you had a wonderful experience watching the video and reminiscing!
Love the video…great info and guide. I suggest turning the music down during your narration and recording your voice in a room less reverberated. With love. ❤
Thank you for the feedback, Jim 😁
Well done, Kris❤
Thank you for watching and saying so :-)
Nice roadtrip! Correction- KY was not an original colony. Before statehood in 1792 (as the 15th) it’s landmass was part of Virginia which was one of the original 13 colonies.
Thank you for watching, enjoying the road trip idea, and providing the additional information!
My last trip plan to Nebraska was this last August o North Platte Kearney and in between at Gottenberg to see the USPS pony express Great Platte River Road Archway Buffalo Bill house and Golden Spike Tower and small Locomotive Museum plus other things to see
Sounds like a great trip :-) thank you for sharing!
Most people in Kentucky don’t like banjo music. really it’s true.
😳 woah... Thanks for sharing!
"Hot Springs"/"Custer"....
Informative. Thank You. It will really help during my upcoming trip to Kansas :)
I appreciate you letting me know :-) I hope you have a wonderful trip!
Very thorough. Thank you!
Thank you for watching and commenting :-)
Kansas became the 34th state on January 29, 1861, not in 1859.
Thank you :-)
Kentucky born and raised…you done a great job on this ♥️♥️
Thank you so much for saying so :-)
@@TravelGuidesfromKris very welcome ♥️
Great video, heading there on Sunday from FL. The book of Enoch explains Devil's Tower were really giant trees, it's petrified wood, there were 200 of them, you'd only have to notice it looks exactly like a giant stump and flat on top, and your eyes are not deceiving you, because it is✌️
Very interesting! Thanks for commenting :-) hope you have a safe and fun filled trip!
❤
Hi Kris, thank you for this guide! Are the photos featured in the video your own? Do you mind saying what time period you did your road trip during? Thanks!
Thank you, Megan. Some are mine and some are stock photos that I paid to use. I traveled there in November, March, and August. But you are probably wondering about the professional looking photos, lol…
You're welcome and thank you for your quick reply!@@TravelGuidesfromKris I was only curious because it looked like you were bundled and one shot of a mountain goat had snow in it, whereas others did not. But that makes perfect sense if you've visited in various seasons :)
The whole panhandle, and nearby places are just rich with history. Ft. Robinson, Ft. Laramie, Oregon Trail, Black Hills, Custer Battlefield, Wounded Knee, Johnson County war, etc.
I agree!
I really enjoyed your video, and hope you do more! You have a pleasant voice, good information and are very thorough. We really need more videos like this! Thanks for sharing. New subscriber.
Thank you so much :-) soon! Once I make 1000 subscribers, I will :-)
Thanks for highlighting many interesting places in the Great State of Kansas! 😊
Very welcome :-)
Wonderful South Dakota, great showing of sights and very informative. Well done 👍. Thanks for sharing and take care 😀.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching and giving positive feedback :-)
Good job thank you 🙏
Thank you :-)
You do a great job on your videos. I saw your Kentucky video, subscribed, and look forward to watching the other videos. Do you plan on publishing a new video soon? I look forward to it.
Thank you very much :-) Yes, I want to, but I have been waiting and busy. I should make 1000 subscribers soon which will allow me to be compensated for the hours that go into creating my content. In addition, I had my second child this past year and a long-distance move. I'm on the verge of beginning my scripts for Washington DC, Arkansas, Outer Banks, the Ohio River, and many more that I want to publish. Your comment has made my day!

Hello Viewer :-)
Beautiful state. Beautiful traditional american music.
Another great video. I never heard of this state before.

Love it there!
Cool!

Gracias por ver! Te bendiga también :-)
Very informative, well done.
Thank you!
You did a great job, Dusty. Thanks for inspiring us to follow in your foot steps.
Thank you for watching!
Thanks
Thank you!
I would have but you mispronounced the Arkansas river
I had to look that up. I now know that Kansas pronounces it differently; Ar-KAN-sas versus ar-kan-SAW. We are learning every day and I often mispronounce things ;-)
@@TravelGuidesfromKris keep up the good work that you do!!!
Thank you :-)
