Expensive but sems to be very nice. My Hornady classic singel stage is way cheaper but it is not very delicate in its movements. Sometimes you have to push on the cartridge to linear it up with the ram to let the seater or size tool slide down on the cartridge. It works good but lack some quality feeling to it. I guess the old saying you will get what you pay for is true here.

On the Diamondback HD means high density whatever that means. On the Razor is meant High Definition. So what does HD mean on these binoculars.

I talked to a leupold rep yesterday about the mark 5 vs mark 4 pricing. According to him, the cost difference is almost entirely due to the US military specified lens coating on the Mark 5, which meets a standard far beyond what hunters and competition shooters would ever require. But if you manage to scratch the mark 4 lense, its covered by Leupolds lifetime warranty anyways.

No for 1800 bucks its very nice. Razor for 1500-1600 is very nice too but heavy. I go mk5 on hunting rigs and razor on long range. Used a nightforce and it was very nice, probably a step above in glass quality and would definitely buy one if it came up for 2000 or if i was doing something seriously competitive at 1000 plus yards. But im not so thr razor and mk5 have fit my needs perfectly

How does the glass compare to the diamondback 🤔

Might want to consider the NRL Hunter One, the one day event rather than the normal (in the States) of two days. Also have a match quarterly in most of the Provinces, i.e WC, EC, GP, Limpopo, so more can attend and participate. Gear, including the rifle. can be way out of the typical SA hunters budget for PRS style shoots, so NRL Hunter or SA hunters shooters competitions are/can be an alternative.

I’ve been looking at these and have been on the fence as they look like the perfect binoculars for PRS matches but the price tag is pretty hefty. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on them!

Great video Pieter, but I think the situation, and solution is a lot more than not understanding the format. Our economy is in a kak spot at the moment, rates are up, thus bonds and car payments are up. Inflation is high, salaries are not keeping up, and consumers are under strain. Now you bring in a format which requires some specialized kit (the veldskiet guy you mentioned can not use his 22-250 for NRL Hunter) and that kit is getting exponentially more expensive due to our ZAR/USD exchange rate. Add accommodation, travel, and it's not affordable to the average shooter. We discussed this exact thing in the squad at the Swaro shoot. Those shooters who are financially well off will support events, while those who have to tighten the belts are attending less events and carefully chose which events they can afford to shoot. That's why you always see the majority of the same faces at events. Those shooters who have S16 dedicated status can maintain that a lot easier now with local club shoots offered by many shops. R50, 30ish 9mm rounds, and less than 15mins from my home for a evening shoot and it's seen as a full activity.

Hi pieter. If you guys can host nrl/prs or nrl hunter on sundays I think you will get a really decent turnout , many of us like myself work on Saturdays so it's out of the question.
