Hi Ian,nice runs! I've always said there is something odd on tamiya trailers,bugs me on my 1992 shell tanker! Sits way to high on the axles and the pin. I got it as a complete thing with a king hauler bought at the same time by the original owner,it had sat in a box nose down with the tanker for at least ten years! All looking better after cab repair and some new chrome(front bumper and grill)some home made slash cut stacks using 15mm copper pipe for a test run and looks ok. Glad to see you're looking well. Also I hope Tim's doing ok,I do so miss his videos.

Hi Ian. It's Ade from Ade rc shed I see what your saying mate about steering servo. Didn't think of that. But because I put the brass block between the axle and the sping the hub is lower so I've had to do the steering that way. I've done a short follow up video mate

A simple but somewhat effective mod, good idea, aren't they all if they work.. And this does.. Interesting about the static on the plastic..

A job well done and the "scrap" dolly comments it perfectly, a good idea to reverse the 5th wheel plate and thus relocate the pin.. The back of the dolly lines up well with shape on the trailer chassis.. Nice job.. And as you say can be used for any and all trailers.. A road train cometh.. 😊

Impressive as always, "just a quick dolly" some bits of scrap.. Your ingenuity to change "scrap" into a functional dolly is an achievement in itself.. Experience and enthusiasm counts, well done and thanks.. Makes keeping all the little bits and bobs worthwhile..

fit a renmote controll and you can put the lights on or off a a toutch of a button like your car if you put a trailer on you will need the other two back lights

To remove the “slop” in the bearings you can use loctite bearing fit liquid during assembly, that will just leave the backlash in the steering linkages to sort out.

An interesting insight, such a shame with the problems, not their finest hour .. and such a shame for the hobby, if this was your first kit ... oh dear ..

On the face of it the manual looks good, but as always, the devil is in the detail .. That is something Tamiya does score with but comparisons can be difficult. A bit of a struggle, but it look's good. Such a shame about the wheel hubs/nuts .. strange no tool to use with the kit .. Not for the faint hearted or rank novice. You like a challenge. The bed side hinges and clips look great.

Great stuff as always .. soon a new addition to the fleet .. some vinyl specialties also ??

As you said on the "unboxing" a bit different to a typical Tamiya but the change is interesting requiring a bit more attention to detail. Its all RC and trucks so keep up the good work. I'm sure there will be some Sparks magic along the way.

Good to see something different, like you I am a Tamiya fan, but it easy to overlook the competition. Shame about the 3D print part .. make and mend time .. your good at that ..

I can imagine your disappointment with this model. I think you should send King Kong rc all the major issues you got with this kit. You got all the video evidence as well Maybe you got a one from a bad batch… who knows

Definitely it’s a good looking truck Pity they messed up the instructions manual. With the front wheel centre caps can’t you just pull the lock nut out put it on the wheel then push the plastic cap on?
