Also, as a reminder to all of us, when we want to start something, we do not need to start at the beginning of the year, beginning of the month, beginning of the week. There is still two month of the year where any progress in this area could add up ❤

We all live and learn! And that is exactly what you are doing! I am very thankful I was able to live with limited bills with Spencer's parents for the last bit, it really helped me pay off my student loans and then save for our home! You got this girl! Our 20s are such a random and crazy time, but it is the time to learn about ourselves and grow as people! <3

cheering you on to try this again next year!! one piece of advice I have goes along with your 'all or nothing mindset' learning - you don't have to wait until Jan 1 to start making better choices! I get that the end of this year will be London trip/holiday shopping, but even if you 'half ass' some of the no buy for the rest of the year, it'll set you up for better success in the new year and you'll already have the ball rolling :) but also I get that you gotta do what's best for you mentally - so take my advice w a grain of salt! love you always bestieeee

I highly suggest the book financial feminist by Tori Dunlap! It has lots of good tips about paying off debt and spending based on your values!

Hannah Louise Poston said that when she did her no-buy she replaced it with window shopping, so to curb that, only gave herself 1 day a week to do window shopping (aka add it to a cart, open the tab, etc). I have not tried that, but I have tried to limit my window shopping in general because if I see something, I want it. :D She's also talked about *not* using books as a coping mechanism which I disagree with because it's the cheapest hobby with Libby/Hoopla. I also failed at my no-buy this year LOL there were some unexpected medical costs and then I gave into houseware and furniture purchases as a treat to myself. Trying to not buy any more house stuff this month and December. Win: signing up for a meal kit box actually decreased my food costs. I have no idea why, maybe I was overbuying at the grocery store?

I’m doing no buy this year and started an instagram for it. So hard but definitely needed.

Even though the finances are such a struggle, i admire you soo much for trying so hard to take the steps you need in order to get out of it! Here for you always and rooting for a more financially stable future! ❤

Sweat smelling differently happened because of hormones for me. It can be sweet or like vinegar (cat pee) with kidney issues, diabetes, liver..etc. so it definitely happens.
