Ray Manzarek said he wanted to deck Oliver Stone for making this movie and said he wouldn't have been friends with the Jim in the movie. That the movie was basically a disgrace. The guy in the trailer doesn't seem connected to reality which is far from the real Jim Morrison. The movie looks like it's just hyping some abstract Rock stereotypes.

I love this film. My only issue with it is that there's just too much Meg Ryan. There should've been more focus on the film's namesake, The Doors, and their relationships with each other. I know she was the "It Girl " back then, but still, I'll take Val Kilmer all day, every day over Meg Ryan. And I'm straight! 😂
