This is a film of the band SOUTHPAW Dick Gay and I were in back in the 1970s. Randy Warmuth on guitar/vocals and Frank Brothers on Bass. A Lynyrd Skynyrd song called "I Know A Little."
Now that kids, is REAL country music!

I always come back to this particular live version of this stupendous song.
I remember seeing him at the Houston Rodeo back in 1992 or 93 and his performance sounded just like his CD. That was one of the best concerts I ever be to, coming from a big George Strait fan.

How did the record company not have the sense to release this song as a single? The first time I played the album it was easily my favorite track.
Bass player is bad ass! Watch this again and just concentrate on the bass and watch him perform. Bass players are so unselfish and are too often ignored. As are the backup singers. And these three backup singers are freaking incredible!

Just a minor correction. "Late Show with David Letterman" didn't debut on CBS until August 1993, so this appearance was on NBC's "Late Night with David Letterman." Clint mentions here that the new album "will come out next Tuesday," and "The Hard Way" was released on Tuesday July 14, 1992.
