    I am not an expert whatsoever, but to answer your question, faking it until you make it does NOT apply whenever it comes to your emotions. From my personal experiences, faking being happy can make you feel even worse, and can make it more difficult to fake it in the long run. However, in some cases its understandable for someone to fake how they're feeling, examples being they're in a job interview, they're giving a speech, they're teaching, etc... To answer the question in the Facial Feedback Hypothesis section, smiling doesn't make you happy, and being happy doesn't mean you'll smile. Although, usually when someone is happy, or experiences something fun, they tend to smile because of it. Thank you for your videos! I was able to listen to this and get some chores done at home at the same time. This helped out a lot😭🙏

    FYI - Problems solving, the candle holder in fig. B. Since figure A shows multiple thumb tacks you could press one through the bottom of the box into the bottom of the candle to create the stability you are wanting. I would probably use 2 or 3 on the box-to-wall area to manage the weight of the candle. I'm sure you didn't need the feedback, but I couldn't get past it. I really appreciate your videos! This box is boring and difficult for me to sit and read. Your slides and instruction are incredibly helpful!

    Hello, I'm in your class and I'm watching this for said class. I was just wondering if you know why you aren't supposed to wake people with night terrors? I have had night terrors since I was a kid, along with several friends and family. Just curious. Thanks.

    • @matthewpoolepsychology
      @matthewpoolepsychology Месяц назад

      @@Miranda_m_d10 good question. Doing so might prolong the night terror episode. As well, in the half-asleep state, one might accidentally hurt the person waking them up, because they are scared and want to defend themselves.
