Just the odds and sods of video I have collected playing internet games, messing about with motorbikes, and occasionally farting about on youtube! - mostly the videos aren’t public, but those that you can see are freely available to do with what you will.
Wales Trail Riding with Shez, Gary, Chris, and John
When I received an invite to trail ride in Wales on a two day excursion through the private acreage reserved for the Yamaha Offroad School, I couldn't resist. Join me, Shez, John, Chris and Gary on a selection of well spec'd Tenere 700s and a Kove 450 travelling through the Hafren Forest's, on single track, trails, green lanes, and back roads.
On day one, we covered over 100 miles to the beach and back. Day two was in the Hafren riding mainly fire roads, and single track.

Two friends from Cambridgeshire visited for a day riding the lanes. It was a great day, with over 90 miles ridden. In the earlier part of the ride, the Tenere and I weren't flowing, but some suspension twiddling helped with the confidence. I bought a box of bits 3 years ago. Here's a photo/video montage of the project from start to present day. It runs in three main stages. The original build using the GSX1100S air-cooled engine, the swop to a GSXR1100M engine, then porting and a 1216 kit. @@peteshez1 Thanks - we all share the lanes - and try to remember that some of those others move slower than a Tenere 700.
Great vid Sol, i'm new to this lark and need some new routes. I'll give that Sir William Hill Rd a go. Any other routes would be greatly received. 👍
Many thanks - that’s appreciated. For videos in the future I’m looking at how I can share routes without remembering where the footage was taken and what the lane was called. Perhaps a link to a gpx in outdoor active?

@@MM-xr6tz glad you got to try the route. It is scenic and easy in some places, but challenging in others (depending on rider and bike obvs).

Nice. i have had an 1100 katana for the last 15 yrs engine gone but am now fitting 1200 bandit motor. will graft on rear end monoshock and front end..
The Aprilia in front is pretty damn fast, but the GSX had the power to keep up for sure. Good vid.
Aprilia Mille probably around 110hp - The GSX at this point was dyno'd at 80hp (and quite a bit heavier I am sure)

Restrictive exhaust with headers that are too wide and over rich = 142hp at the wheel on an honest dyne - 150 with proper set up I reckon.
Simon Oliver what was the comp ratio it is stock 1127 except big bore ?
turboraph84 High comp Wiseco (didn't measure the actual compression). Some head flowing - just tidied up the ports and smoothed the radius. Dyna 2000 on position 1. Didn't dial in the ignition yet either. More details on solcambs.wordpress.com/2018/01/23/1216-on-the-way/

I would imagine that him and No. 825 on the Husky had words afterwards. The KTM w/ the cam was bumping a bit too much. If I was the guy on the Husky I'da fucked him up after the race. Good to see Katoom boy got what he had coming after racing like a dick.
