I agree Harborview is a great neighborhood. We have so many wonderful Lake Murray neighborhoods it’s hard to choose sometimes.

Columbiana Mall is still open in the Irmo area. You may thinking of Richland Mall in the Forest Acres area. That one closed a few years ago. They currently bulldozing it down and transforming it into a community park and business area. The plans for it looked spectacular! Thanks for watching.

I'm sorry to hear about the high costs of your homeowner's policy. Most people want wind and hail coverage, which is the cause of most claims. I don't know your situation, but the house sounds like your home may have been vacant or rented since you purchased it last year, influencing your insurance premium. Yes, both states are red politically but I've had clients that have left Florida because it was "too red" for them. Thanks for watching.

Rentals can have a pretty tight market for SFH. Admittedly, I don’t handle rental properties, so I am not an expert.

Most HOAs are landlord friendly. You need to be careful in some condo communities though.

Some neighborhoods that prioritize amenities for seniors and offer opportunities for hosting out-of-town guests include: Saluda River Club: Located in Lexington, just outside Columbia, this community features resort-style amenities including a wellness center, swimming pools, and social clubs, perfect for active seniors looking for a vibrant community atmosphere. Woodcreek Farms: Situated in Northeast Columbia, Woodcreek Farms is a golf course community with amenities like tennis courts, walking trails, and a clubhouse that can be enjoyed by residents and their guests. This neighborhood is still being developed today. Cobblestone Park: Another golf course community in Northeast Columbia, Cobblestone Park offers amenities such as a fitness center, resort style swimming pool, and dining options, ideal for seniors looking for recreational activities and entertainment options. These are just a few examples, and there are more communities throughout Columbia and the surrounding areas that cater to seniors and offer amenities for hosting out-of-town guests. The communities mentioned are not 55+ communities but lean that way.

You are right! Camden offers a charming atmosphere, rich history, and proximity to Columbia, making it a great contender for those looking to live near the Midlands.

The problem with video’s like this…. Is decent people, proud of their hometown, who speak up with pride sharing for others… Unfortunately, not all decent people watch these videos, and they move to nice places…. And ruin a good thing.
