PLEASE HELP HOW DO I SUBMIT ANIMATIONS

am looking into art fight cause i want to try it next year!

Its my first year of AF and I was wondering if adding stuff like quotes and relationship details with other published characters helps with outlining a character's personality instead of downright stating their traits without overwhelming someone that goes thru my bios

It was fun thhe first 2 drawings because it was casual. Then u always try to outdo yourself and it feels like a chore xD

This isn’t my first year doing Art fight but I’m still pretty new so this has been rlly helpful in giving advice besides the basics!

This is my first art fight and I got advice from someone that people like when you add different details to the persons oc but that doesn’t seem right, is it?

so it's rly fine to just use old art that are more like doodles... say.... pencil doodles with no color?

I will not lie, I almost dropped out with how so many people think it is ok to cheat in artfight. The excuses always rubbed me the wrong way. I plan on not doing much art for artfight, I know my limits.

Actually i do feel like im owed a thanks... Like you dont have to start gushing about how much you like the piece but not getting thanked after putting work into drawing someone's character feels like a slap to the face. Its base politeness, whether you like the art or not

Additional tip - in bios PLEASE include things that your character likes/activities they do. It makes it so much easier for the people drawing your character to think of compisitions for the art.

As a fellow art fight veteran (im on my 9th year this year) i agree about leaving up old art in your attacks! I actually really enjoy it as a museum of my improvement because i feel like its a good summary of my improvements over the years.

How fast should I be able to draw

I haven’t heard of artfight till today, thank god it hasn’t started yet! I’m planning on trying it out, it looks super fun!

Totally not me trying to make ref sheets for my characters before artfight even begins 😅 I got 3/4 done for this year, and I’m almost done with the fourth The remaining 4 will be worked on after this year’s artfight is over Also, thanks for the tips! I find them really helpful!

I've been here for 7 years, this is my 8th, & I've only got 58 attacks ;v; I actually got burnt out last year (only did 8) because for some reason, EVERY YEAR, a month or two before AF, I suddenly want to draw LIKE CRAZY

i wanna do artfight SO bad but I'm scared people won't like my art 😿😿

Nobody attacked me back last year so I'm very discouraged to do it again.

I have 5 days to come up with ref sheets of my characters because I don't have art of them and only found out about art fight today 😭

(Technically 8th if you count an account I never used and forgot the user name of before my first art fight) I hate that I'm an adult-adult now (22) and that from here on out I'll have to juggle jobs and stuff 😅 I can't wait to attack you!

This is going to be my first ArtFight so thank you for the tips! I love to create art especially when i get their reactions of it so supporting is a really important thing to show the artist that you appreciate them!

As A Tip For People Who Don't Have A Toyhouse, Unvale And Characterhub Are Great (Free) Alternatives Where You Can Store Info About Your Characters! So Please Even Non Toyhouse Users, Try And Get Extra Info Pages Set Up It's Way Easier To Get Answers To Extra Questions Ppl Have About That Character That Way :)

second year here !!! I SECOND HAND THE PART WHERE YOU DO ARTFIGHT FOR YOU!! Last year I only ended up doing a total of *2 attacks!* this year I honestly have started a bit early hoping to get at least 5 out of my system :D although I've noticed I struggle to draw whenever I open my art program,, artblock in denial also, expect an attack yootooba >:D

Thank you so much for those tips! This will be my second Art Fight and last year I started soo motivated and burned out so quickly xD (which sadly was also portrayed in some of the drawings I did...they kept getting worse and worse) Hopefully, this year I wont burn out :)

I did about 40 attacks last year and yk what? That was a little much, but I had so much fun!!! My goal this year is 25 :)

Im glad im going at this with the right approach. I just wanna try drawing lots of different types of characters and participate in the art community online more. Ive done art my whole life and never spoke with the online art community until this year. Ive already met new people because of this event and its all so exciting to me!

Because of tip #1, im prolly gonna start my first year by looking for animal OCs. Making my own OC reference pages for the event made me a lil tired of drawing people and the event hasnt even started yet. But not every character out there is a person thankfully so i can take a break from humanoids while still participating ^_^

This year is my first time ever participating in Artfight and I have a question!! I’ve already found a few artists that have multiple ocs I’d like to draw, however I’m not sure if it’s like.. good etiquette (?) to attack someone multiple times. I haven’t seen anyone put in their bio or character permissions NOT to attack more than once but it’s still something I’m unsure about. So is it okay to attack someone more than once? Should I ask them first?

this sounds a bit stupid, but are ‘attacks’ actual drawings of attacks, or literally just a random drawing of their character?

Is it possible to participate by drawing other’s characters but not have any of my own listed?

This is my 5th year and I have been on the losing team every single time. Truly terrible luck on my part!! But I am still in love with art fight and these tips totally fit with how I've adapted in my first few years :'D
