What's Holding You Back from Creating Stunning Feature Sections?
Thanks for the useful Black Friday summary! GreenShift also has a 35% off sale, but you didn't mention that. You have made many videos about this tool in the past. Have you stopped using GreenShift altogether?
Are you going to buy the SureCart deal? It's a tough call, you get better support for the 1000 dollars, and no 1.9% fees, and if you can sell and manage and set up hosting for clients, it might work but I am too new to this world of software to know if that is a dream or something based in reality, ha ha..... I waited too long for the Server Avatar deal and kind of regret it now, but lots of competition in hosting out there...
Damn, that is to bad. The deal before the price going up, was so good.. I can't believe i was this lucky to be fair. For surecart I bought the deal because I love the sure products, the data is optimized for speed and for small webshops the transaction fees can be ok. I am creating a new website with surecart and love the UI so far. In the end is up to you if you have a client that needs a webshop or not. I can afford these kinds of things because I build sites as a hobby, so everything I make, is going back into my hobby 😁. Except for taxes
Just upgraded my Elementor subscription on Black Friday.
Upgraded in what way?
I use Instant IDE, although the product isn’t updated very often anymore. There’s always the risk of ‘open-heart surgery’ when using this approach, as there’s no safety net other than backups. Additionally, everything you do is practically visible on the live webpage. A proper setup with Git is probably still the better solution, or local development-but yes, I admit, I sometimes use this approach. Regarding using WPCodeBox, I was tempted, but I already have a solution and I’m still on the fence about whether I should buy a second solution that essentially does the same as the one I already have, even though the current offer might not always be available.
Awesome, will have a look, and as you said, when you already have a tool, and you are happy stick with it. I think an IDE on your website could work, like code snippets does, it tries to catch the errors is I am not mistaken and than deactivates the change. That would something if WPCodeBox IDE has that, secondly I think small changes should be no issue. like JSON changes, or CSS changes.

Awesome video! How does Crocoblocks compare to MetaBox? I have to decide between the two, jetengine has CCT (Custom Content Type) and MetaBox has Custom Tables, do they work with Greenshift query Loop and Meta getter?
I don't have metabox so I can't tell. I can look how well things for JetEngine is integrated within GS though.
Hello. This is off topic but I see you were making videos on GreenShift and then Bricks. Do you have a preference one over the other or are they for different jobs? There is a Black Friday deal on at GreenShift and any opinions you have about when and why you use either tool would be appreciated.........
Greenshift is built for Gutenberg, which means most third-party integrations won't be creating things for Greenshift but for Gutenberg, which means different UI experiences. With Bricks Builder this is more streamlined. Secondly, there are some small things, like copy-pasting not working in some fields, and sometimes updates introduce new bugs, which are fixed quite quickly. It's not often, but they can have an impact on your production sites. The overall UX is a bit tough when using Greenshift as can be seen in this live stream ruclips.net/user/live0YgS3uBFru0?feature=share. What Bricks lacks however is the speed of development and the features added, I mean Greenshift has everything while you need to have 2 or 3 plugins in Bricks Builder to have a similar stack, at a way higher pricing. EG. animations, ATs grid builder. To sum it up, I got tired of some of the experiences in GS which made me look elsewhere. Bricks Builder, for now, has less of those. If you'd like to purchase GS tchs.li/gsallin1 consider using the affliate link 😁
@@techiesreviews Thanks for your reply, and yeah, if I purchase I will use the affiliate link.
Cool, make more video's about Crocoblock Plugins with example case use :)
@@IwonaRepetowska-ij7so amazing idea! I’ll have a look this week 😁. And thanks for your comment. Not only jet engine I assume?
Lex, I'm new to Bricks. The changes I make to my mobile page are impacting the other page formats as well. How do I prevent this? Thanks!
Welcome to Bricks! What I understand is that you have built a page in desktop format, and made changes in mobile format. With that you also see the mobile changes in the desktop format. When going from desktop to mobile, you have to select the mobile icon in the top bar? I just tested it and can't replicate the issue. So I am curious what you have installed and how you made it 😄 Let me know if this video is helpful, and what I could do to improve this video 😁.
I tried to create some simple sections in the Greenshift today. It's total chaos. There are so many great options available in the Greenshift but they made them literally not possible to use them. Can you imagine you can't have flext controls for section elements. Total confusion between type of elements available. They can just keep one or two structural elements like bricks (Section, block, div and container) and remaining all can be simple blocks. Also they must make link option, hover and pseudo elements must be global instead of adding them randomly in options panel. If they continue in this way there is no way they can make it in the market. Hope they will change soon.
What helps make this a little easier is to only enable the GreenLight Element Blocks. For me this eliminates a lot of clutter. For the other remarks, it's a preference I guess, you can do this easily using classes, which works like how I build site 😁. Put your remarks in the facebook group and on the feature request, who know, Igor will make some changes 😉
25 minutes in, I've learnt that there's a H1 element block and a content element block lol! This is why videos for Greenshift is needed.
Haha, thanks Mohi. We definitely need more Greenshift videos! If there was someone who could make those 🤔
Hey Lex, Great video, very detailed! I am not into UI/UX myself, but I am amused by this animation. PS Perhaps it's only me, but I find your voice a bit too loud in this video
Loud voice? I guess I'm just trying to make sure my excitement doesn’t get lost in the pixels! I’ll tone it down for the next show!
wordpress is not my thing, so i less liked the tutorial, but a good video still.
Thank you for the compliment ❤. I completely understand it’s not for everybody. If you are a front end dev I hope you can translate this to something you can use in your projects 😁. If so please leave a comment with your result
@techiesreviews the tutorial itself is indeed interesting, i do not follow iphone so i have missed such a gem but thanks to your video i discovered a very interesting nav bar i would definitely like to incorporate and play with i just dont use wordpress nor bootstrap so having css with names like nr-1 or lm-1 gives me goosebumps xD other than that it was very enjoyable
Again with the compliment! Thanks! Please do so and share what you have made, I am always very curious. I was a front-end dev before I got an arrow to the knee you know. I also dislike bootstrap, but creating my own Classes, hell yeah! Sorry for giving you goosebumps though, what kind of names would you give instead of an-in-1, at least I think that's what you are referring to? Secondly, if you have something amazing I could try and recreate, let me know 😁

@@techiesreviews Sounds like a brilliant idea to me.
I like that you're learning how to install themes in WordPress. Then you dive into sections, columns, sizes, shortcuts, display options, duplication, and animation. However, I think the theme installation part was poorly described.
Ah, the theme installation-a bit like trying to teach a cat to fetch, right? I’ll make sure to clarify that next time, so it’s more “purr-fectly” explained!
Top notch stream.

@@rajraiz3058 thanks for letting me know! Could you explain what is deprecated? Is the word ‘deprecated’ already deprecated? If so what is the replacement? Expired? 😂
@@techiesreviews Sorry it was "Marquee" element which was deprecated. I edited my comment again!
Thanks for pointing it out. I thought I covered that in the video as well? Marquee html element you mean right? Btw I genuinely thought you were kidding before the edit 😉
@@techiesreviews Sorry, yes it was Marquee element. Isn't it a bad approach using an element which was already deprecated? It would be nice if you make alternative way to achieve this
@@rajraiz3058 using something deprecated isn’t very smart indeed. Let me rewatch the video and comeback to answer your question and see what needs to be adjusted 😁

No prob! Thanks for watching! You're awesome!
Hello Lex, Ive been following you since your Greenshift tutorials. How Brickforge compares to GS? Would love to hear your opinion. Thanks in advance! And love how you always show us new ways to create our websites!
Hi Bloque 9. Estrategias en Internet, amazing that you are following me since the GS tuts! Hopefully not in a stalker kind of way 😜. I think both tools offer similar experience for single animations, but when using stagger effects, where one animation happens after the other, the timeline on BForge is a way better experience. BForge, however, doesn't come with Bricks Builder unfortunately, so its way more expensive if you combine those two. But, for my 1 month of testing Bricks, it feels less buggy, I hope I feel the same in a year or 2. If you ever find an amazing animation you would like me to breakdown, please let me know!
Love It! Thank you! Definitely more Bricksforge! ❤
Yes, cover more of BricksForge. Thanks!
😁 On it! What kind of videos/features should I cover?
Definately!!! Thank you for the vid! Awesome!
Excellent tutorial! 👌
Thank you Daniele 😁. Anything I missed in this video. Or do you have animation ideas you'd like a tutorial for?
It work with elementor?
The tutorial is for Greenshift, so it won't work in Elementor directly. However, if you are experienced enough you could make this work in Elementor as well.
Great video Lex and welcome back. Every time I watch one of your videos, I learn something new about Greenshift, especially when things don't always go quite right and how you solve them.

You are welcome and thank you a lot for your comment. Is there anyway I could help you?
Hi @@techiesreviews , as so kindly requested, I would like to ask you : what would be the best way (with Greenshift & Blocksy) for making a vertical menu (which would be horizontal in mobile mode ) ? And in your opinion : is it a good manner, with Greenshift, to use mainly containers instead of row ? (I found containers more flexible to use and global class work better with them that with row) Have a nice day !
@@fantouwebmaster6998 I used Blocksy for one project and I think there a lot of limitations of you want something this custom. This requires a lot of custom CSS or setting changes to make it work. Which Blocks to use is up to you. The intend from the developer is to use Row because it aligns with the overall content and the container block is used for grouping things together. But with Blocksy I think it doesn't matter that much. If you like to use Containers because it's more flexible keep using it 😁😁
@@techiesreviews Thanks a lot for all your explanations, it helps a lot ! :)
For me, the question is "how does it compare to Greenshift" As I have a license for Bricks and left it for Greenshift. The UI and the features and the logic of Bricks is much better than Greenshift. I use it only because of the Gutenberg future. Although GS has a lot of unique features. But also buggy and not as smooth as Bricks. I think GS team should stop updating and adding a lot of features rapidly for 3 months and focus only on making the UI cleaner and smother and enhancing the current blocks options as a lot of them either have bugs or missing essential control options.
I know the feeling. After using GS and Bricks for a project, Bricks's workflow feels way more streamlined and supports what I am used to as an ex-front-end developer. I love that Igor is very involved when a bug happens, and usually it's fixed very fast. For me I don't experience a lot of bugs, or only in Edge cases. To be fair, I haven't had one with Bricks with my first client, but I don't have enough experience for now to know if this is true. I am going to create some videos surrounding Bricks in the next 6 months to get familiar with bricks as much as I am with Greenshift.
I keep watch your tutorial bro
Don't watch them too much, you might start dreaming about tutorials! 😄 Thank you so much for watching. 💗
