Thanks to @enyamusicglobal for sending me the ST-1 Smart Tuner and String Winder! It works great as a tuner, very accurate and easy to use. And it's awesome as a string winder, especially if you’ve got multiple guitars. It’s a lifesaver when changing strings! Now some quick notes about the song. I’m pretty sure they used three different tunings for this song. I decided to arrange everything in D Standard for simplicity. In the original recording, the electric guitar playing arpeggios in the choruses was in Drop C (On the D chord shape, they play the low C note), while the other rhythm guitar was in Drop D, as we can see in the 'making of' video of this song... For the 2nd solo, I decided to 'hide' the acoustic guitar part since it keeps playing the same chord progression until the end. This way, it’s easier to focus on the solos. Finally, the lead parts throughout the song replicate the Pedal Steel sections, but I arranged them for guitar. The 2nd and 4th solos, as well as the outro harmony, are the original lead guitar parts from the recording. Yup, he demonstrated and tabbed all guitar parts in real time, including . . . wait for it. . . the solo, THAT solo, the first guitar solo that the world experienced as a "Led Zeppelin guitar solo," this guy demonstrated it and tabbed it all out in real time. Serious talent!
