We envision a world where mental illness is dealt with openly and treated as a normal part of everyday life.
zero2hero is a Western Australian-based charity with a mission to help address mental health problems openly among younger people.
We believe that through communication, mental health problems can be effectively dealt with and suicide can be prevented. Through specialised events the zero2hero team help create supportive networks that encourage speaking out about mental health.
Our programs such as ‘zero2hero day’ and ‘Camp Hero - Youth Leadership Camps’ equip school-aged children and teenagers with the skills to speak up when they are struggling and the confidence to stand up and support their friends when they may be experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, bullying, self-harm or suicidal thoughts.

The Big Dig 2023

The Big Dig is a one-of-a-kind fundraising event to raise money for mental health organisation, zero2hero. In 2023, The Big Dig saw Goran Utjesinovic take on the challenge of using a shovel to dig a 1-metre deep trench non-stop over a 24 hour period, while other teams raced against him as they collectively raised $93,000 for youth mental health.
