@@aquamatt Bought an ECU off EBay for 100 bucks. I would advise to source your own on the interwebs.
@@utagzmotoring hey thanks for replying. Did you have to pair your key with that used ECU before you sent it to quantum
@@aquamatt I didn’t have to. I did select an unlock option if I recall correctly. Let me check and see.

I got a 1998 gs spyder 5 speed manual back in summer 2000 for 1800. I had to replace the whole a/c unit, new timing belt kit, new tires, stereo ect. I got in a bad motorcycle accident summer 2001 on my super sport bike, leaving my bike totaled, my 2018 civic hatchback sport and my eclipse in dormant. Thinking of never drive again because my Achilles heel and knee issue, I hopped in my eclipse a few days ago and started driving. I haven’t drove my eclipse in over 3 years, and everything still works flawlessly. I only had to change the battery!

Hello I had a question about that ecu reflash from quantum auto. Do you have the most aggressive settings available? And do you need high octane gas thanks!
@@aquamatt I always ran high octane so I didn’t even ask about that. The tune only has two settings. ECO and get out the hole, lol. Really though, It’s like a can tune done on the ECU. Brandon (of quantum auto) is pretty responsive with questions. During the purchase process they ask you to list mods and they tweak it from there. I saw that they have ways to tweak the tune but I just went with what they sent me the first time. Again, Quantum Auto can answer the specifics.
This is way better than a w211 . This car will outshine the rest in its class .
@@chuemoua6834 that’s a tough comparison. They each have their benefits but as far as longevity, UZ for the win.
@@utagzmotoring yeah the w211 is a well built e class . It’s actually built like a s class and ride really nice . The engine isn’t as nice as the Lexus v8 and the 2j . There’s just more to break . If the w211 5.0 v8 came without the air suspension then that will be a really nice car .

@@fengstar1 not easy to find but they are out there! I find all my cars on the side of the road(for sale), Craigslist, etc. older demographic keep their cars up.

@@everydayinterviews615 sadly, no! But the light is more spread laterally. As mentioned to a previous viewer. I would keep the HIDs if I had the money to drop a grand on them at the time available. When I was looking they were nowhere to be found. It’s all relative 😂
Have you heard of that quantum auto tune?It's supposed to significantly improve the shifting.

@@utagzmotoring I had a 2016 golf R that was fbo and tuned but sold it due to all the driving I do for work was racking way to many miles on it so I traded it for a 2019 touring Avalon (red with yellow headlight tint) for now

Yup yup! Got my ECU back a few weeks ago. I like it. Pretty expensive though.

What's the rest of the exhaust setup?
Str8 thru! I think it down sized to 2.25 where the resonators were though. PPE headers changed the sounds a bit but I hated it in auto honestly lol. 😂. 2.5 k was way too raspy for my liking.

I went from Halogen to led straight plug and play. Why all the extra work?
I had HID but couldn’t afford the HIDs… when available that is. Got halogen housing and rewired for LED
HIDs pop up on EBay here and there but they run 1000 dollars or so

What is the difference between using Echo Auto and just using Alexa on your cellphone?
The app has to be open for her and o listen on the cellphone. With auto, it connects automatically and you just give commands. Personally, I don’t want to open anything. Just get in the car and drive

How big is the exhaust?
You know anyone making aftermarket headlight for the gs300 that came with stock hid ?
Not that I hear of! I’ll keep a look out though. HIDs are better option but super expensive (if you can find them). Also, going from halogen is o HID may take a bit more than I can speak of. I went from HID to (Halogen housing) HID. OEMs were running 1k online EBay last time I checked

Hope you realize how many drivers this is going to affect. That light bleed is awful. To others hopefully reading this, do a proper projector retrofit if you go this route.

Thats a nice GS 🎉 i'm looking for a GS430 for my daily driver. I'm in a 02 IS300 SportCross right now. I had a GS430 from Montgomery years ago, now looking back it probably needed the lower controls arms changed. That car will last forever

How is the steering wheel holding up after half a year only thing thats holdin me up to order it, is the quality and maybe warrenty if something happens Glue or leather problems
Good as new, still! Well worth the money in my opinion! Next to my seats, it is the most impactful mod so far.
Did you tune Ecu? Pull motor to put in headers?
I had a shop do it. They lifted it and removed steering rack to make it work. Luckily, I found a shop that didn’t require too much money for it. Initial quotes were rather extremely high or they wouldn’t do it at all. Tune is forthcoming.
I want a set of these for my UCF30 and want to do them myself, but it’s kind of scary that there are no other videos of them being installed on anything and the fact that people are being charged a fortune or having the job refused is alarming. Were you able to get the install between $500-$1,000? If you don’t mind me asking, no need to be extremely specific. They’re expensive headers to begin with.

What does the butt dyno say?
Slight gain in mid and top. Possible loss down low. But I’m not too sure, it may be relative to higher end gains

We hate to ‘exhaust’ you all with sound clips but some are interested in the progress! Revs are 2k, 4k, red, red! Also, we have a slightly modified intake box with a K&N drop in, and shop vac hose running to lower air dam. Kind of jaink but that’s how we like it 😂
