During the emergency situation, it is not easy to get a pin to insert the hole to release the stop.

I was overthinking this so much! I was convinced I had to slip one of the cams on the back into a perfect spot in order to make th mechanism work. Saw your guidance about making things perpendicular and it started to work. Finally realized my biggest obstacle was a poorly drilled hole for the bolt, or maybe the door had shifted over years. Once I had everything lined up I bore the whole out a bit and it was all working. THANK YOU!

What about the bottom through bolt for the 8500-3 straight pull mounts? Do you have an end cap that can fit within the rail of the door so we do not have obstructions within the 10" ada clearance at bottom door rail? Why is this no where in the installation manual?

Door guards being used to prop doors open is a common occurrence. In fact, you can tell that a door guard is used to prop doors. There is always a line on the door guard where the finish has rubbed off where the door is hitting it. And, the finish is always mangled at that spot on the guard and on the door. Not only that but the door guards are always loose and worn every time I see them in hotels. I did this all the time when I was younger. Flip the guard over, let that door rest against it to keep it from latching, and run down the hallway to get ice at the elevator and come right back. I see housekeeping staff doing this all the time in hotels. That probably explains why the door gurd is always loose and worn in hotels. Because, I have never seen a worn out chain. But the flip bar, I see them loose, worn, finish mangled, and whole bit all the time in hotels.

We are missing a lot of hardware. Is there a parts list?

Great video on the Pemko/Assa Abloy automatic door bottom. I installed automatic door bottoms on the doors to my home office.

How can I get this

He screw up with the through bolt. He installed on the wrong side.

Very helpful, but one would think the bottom sides of the door would need to be routered to accommodate the extra thickness added from the 2 gasket plate covers?
