I feel where you are coming from, for uploading purposes sometimes a thumbnail can take hours to create from scratch. I am in the process of moving and just trying new things for the channel. I don't believe it is counted against you, it is one of those things that is out of your control. It could happen the day after I get the new one too, there is no saying. And it can be over $1000 to get a PPF on the windshield and even those need to be replaced like once a year or once every two years because they get a bunch of dings. I recommend to just check with your insurance and make sure the deductible is low.

@@FreshRootsExoticCars idk how things work in America as I live in uk but unless it specifically says so for your policy it's still counted as a fault claim as there is nobody for them to claim back off of. For instance if you have a deer run out in the road and hit it, it's not something you could avoid but it counts as a fault claim/accident. Some policies do let you get windscreen repaired and not count it though maybe? I'm not sure. I agree ppf for windscreen isn't worth it tbh and better to just get ding and such repaired if possible and if not replaced, I dare say it's worth it for insurance claim over paying it for you when cost is so high, lucky for me my windscreen is super cheap paid £270 to have new one and have it fitted so not rly worth claiming for for me

@@johnstape4488 I actually need to call my Insurance and find out what the fine details are, because truthfully I am not sure if it negatively effects me to the point of a potential rate increase in the future.

Windshields typically fall under your comprehensive coverage which does not count against you from my understanding, but with that said, insurance in California has skyrocketed!

@ yeah, comprehensive will count. My wife did the same w/ her Tesla windshield. If we would have known we would have just paid out of pocket. If it’s your only claim then you should be okay. Anymore then they will raise your rates

@@racingdc9 I've thankfully not had any other claims! I have no claims on my AMG, but I just got a crack in the windshield on that too! hahah So I'll be having to get another one on that soon, stay tuned I'll be doing a vlog about it. A truck kicked up a rock and got me.
