Provider bias: Dopamine has been a ...

I had strep throat every Christmas from age 6 to 11, had to take penicillin every year, and when I was 16 my stomach had major gas pains when I ate certain foods like cheese until around 28 and then I used grapefruit fruit extract from the health food store and it cleared it up. I had constipation off and on first which I never had in my life a couple of years before a slight tremor started in my left foot and moved to hand in 2012 age 47 and went 4 years without meds. Carbidopa/ levodopa, which I use now.

ruclips.net/video/QVvvjJcKz6A/видео.html There is one minor error: "People with Deep Brain Stimulation lose this paralysis" should be "People with REM Sleep Behaviour Disorder lose this paralysis." People with REM Sleep Behavior Disorder (RBD) are not aware of it other than waking up after falling off the bed. My wife was aware of it and told my sleep specialist, "It's like sleeping next to that cartoon character of Tax, Looney Tunes Tasmanian Devil, that never stops spinning around at night." Thank You for your updates!

i am 46 and have been diagnosed parkinsons for 2 years now.Tremors are the main issue by far. Highest symptoms have been in order tremors, sleep issue , energy issues and diahrea 3 times a day. Since Sept its been 4 months under 20g net carbs per day ketovore. Only my tremors remain unchanged, sleep improved alot but i get early waking, energy better, poo normal once a day...debating going carnivore. im convinced there is a brain energy gap in the substantia niagra caused due to sugar then overactive insulin stealing the energy hence keto helps....

Every time I listen to Laura I learn something new. For decades before I was diagnosed, I look mineral, flax seed and B12 supplements because I’m vegetarian and felt better when I did. I was also very active, running, walking, practicing tai chi and generally outdoorsy. Since diagnosis I’ve stoped taking the supplements because my consultant was so dismissive of them…… On exercise, in the app, we need a better way of recording the type. Walking across boggy fields is very different to walking on a treadmill. Also the type of tai chi matters and how you practice it. I sympathise with the lady whose husband works with Parkinson’s. Since starting my new job I am not exercising nearly so much and feel the difference. Love the insight on excitement and dopamine production. It is something I’ve been thinking about. In choosing a job, my biggest criteria was working with nice people as well as something I find interesting. Over the summer, I discovered that the high I got passing tests on coursera was just like taking a levedopa pill. I love that you’re collecting the data as I studied data analytics, data science and AI. Speaking about AI, it would be great if we could have some free text boxes. Over time, when you have more data, we could create an AI model to help identify patterns in the 60% unidentified positive interventions. Another awesome talk. Thanks Michel.
