It's past midnight now. I sit on the slab in my Verandah while a wave of reality, maybe not reality, but emotions wash over me. The melody of this song synchronises with the waves, amplituding the recent events. I won't call this sadness, i am not crying, though i would call it strange. My greesy locks of hair fall infront of my eyes, my vision now blurry. But i still manage to take a look at my surroundings through the gaps of my hair- unclear. The light bugs move across the orange street light, attracted to the illumination. They buzz, to and fro. The violin in my earphone suddenly strike me; images and memories occupy my mind. Just outside a cat slide through the door of my neighbours, striding forward with his shadow beside. I look up at the sky- the piano now ringing in my ears, midnight sky dark blue in colour, a dot remains lightened. Maybe a planet, probably Venus, remain still in the broad sky; no trace of clouds or constellations whatsoever. I hear the diwali cracker sound vaguely, the festive season is almost over now. I rest my head on my legs, accepting everything that has happened to me. Did i deserve these? Shifting my focus, i look at the empty Street without jossling humans and the colours of street shops, the frequent noise of cars now absent. A bike passes, moment passesz i hear the lyrics- a language I don't understand. But i do feel the traces of emotions. These emotions are complex, aren't they? Questions fill my mind as I am left with " Why am I feeling the way I am ?" I glance at the screen, the lovers and their kiss now visible. The cat, the neon light, the midnigh sky, the barking dogs, the sound of the silent streets- all surround me while i wonder, " it's always a boy at the end '' . The composition juxtaposing the time, the silence bringing a torturous peace, i wonder- there's a 'him' at the bottom . It half past midnight now.
