What’s the difference between a psychiatrist, a psychologist, and a counselor?
I was diagnosed from a doctor of autism and I do not have the last one.
I have bipolar and all of this real no joke! I got diagnosed last year smh 🤦🏾♀️
Oh shucks
Im struggling so bad with my 2 year old. He has ALWAYS slept on his own, with door closed, no soothing from mom. As of lately he screams as soon as he sees me turn my back to walk out the room, doesnt settle on his own, will sleep if I pat his back for about 10 minutes but will wake an hour or so later and the process repeats ALL NIGHT. This happened when I transitioned him to his toddler bed but its been almost a year now since then. I let him cry it out the first time around or I would walk in without saying a word and put him back in bed over and over. All he wants to do now and insisting on sleeping with me! Im not creating a habit of this but to let him cry it out now is going to warrant noise complaints from my neighbors. The screaming and pounding on the door (open or closed) and jumping up and down at all hours is a lot. Im just at a loss of what to do. Any help?
This just doesn’t apply to all of us
Thank you. Could you please refer me to the most convincing peer reviewed journal article that backs up the claims that CBT is evidence based?
Unless you are really good at giving people what they want
There’s no “mild end of the autism spectrum” like you said. The spectrum isn’t a line.
Lots of misunderstanding about ADHD in the general public. A colleague of mine thought that because I have ADHD, my "behavior" was attributed to trying to GET attention from others! 😕

Undiagnosed Felt different my whole life masked and copied others since childhood I don’t have any friends has a adult not many people like me and when a friendship is started it’s stopped for no reason now I am older and have a child who has been diagnosed with autism now I feel that I am highly likely on the spectrum I notice that I stim when am alone have sensory issues and have a number of symptoms guess I have masked for nearly 30years
Hey I had 2 sings but I often understand the non verbal clues...
The blanket statements you use to explain the points clearly show that most of your "knowledge" about autism is based on assumptions made by people who are not autistic.
I have adult autism . I struggle with this on a daily basis
Anyone else have issues with embarrassment of others hearing your conversation in public? At work i feel really awkward talking to someone from a distance. I also have a quiet voice so often times if i try to talk to someone from 10 meters away they wont hear me.
Thanks for help me❤❤❤❤🎉
My daughter wrote . I don't want to sleep here.😅
Yes, I can see the autistic traits in him even though he wasn't diagnosed with autism. He is also a passive-aggressive covert narcissistic abuser. Do autistic people regularly abuse others?
Autism is mercury toxicity.
I realized im the most unmasked (specifically with facial expressions with my brother) so i dont change my tone or use my face too much to communicate but with everyone else i force it
Lol guns and roses
totally agree.
Glad you liked it.
Disagreeing and gaslighting are not the same thing. Gaslighting means denying someone's reality and if someone's denying my reality, I don't need the third person to check it out for me. This doesn't make sense at all!
If it's really something we want to finish on time and not something we have to finish or else...NO WAY! It's not the solution.
What about kids who cant talk or reason because they are too young?
Lol what if your special interest is researching how to act normal and you expend an extreme amount of mental energy trying to do that?
It'd be great if the professionals would up date their knowledge of these disorders.
I have Autism
Go to 8:00 for your homework assignment if you want this to work. I’d love to hear your experience trying this or if you have another strategy that worked.
You look like Michael Shanon from shape of water
We couldn’t do it without Sheila.
I agree
Sheila is the best
I’d love to hear from you if you’ve tried this or what has worked for you.
Some of the social examples here aren't observable reliably by professionals when they are working with well masking autistic people, but that does't make those well masking autistic people non-autistic. It just makes them undiagnosable.
By what you mean by appropriate greeting? If you smile to greet in Russia is consider inappropriate. Or not everyone and some may even be intimidated by the joyous greeting in Australia.
Some people with autism feel lonely so they do whatever they can to get attention even dangerous stuff too.autistic people can feel lonely even though the stereotypes is that autistic people like to be alone not all autistic people like to be alone and want to socialize so they'll mask.
Good point.
I wish more people knew about masking it can also make autistic people depressed. I'm autistic
It can be a lot.
Looks like I have it and i don’t understand how people can be so zesty all the time 🐰
Shit
Dr Greenaway you should include how extremely rare this disorder MP is . Before 1000s of people start making ytube videos, claiming they have it 😂😅 . Im a nurse of over 30yrs mostly worked in different ICUs units and pych units as well . Thanks
Let's find out and report them to the local authorities.
Yeah im autistic
Thank God, I am not autistic. I was starting to think I might be in the spectrum, too many suggestions on stupid "you might be autistic" videos.
If you aren’t born with it, it can be misconstrued as autism when it may be PTSD. I hate not being normal.
Just saying all those symptoms do not describe really hard panic attack
I have autistic and ADHD no wonder why I in trouble a lot
But he listed more than 3
Do not waste your time with this. This is dangerous at best.
Most people do realise this.
Sounds good
