woodchester mansion ghost hunting Saturday 30th October 2021.
Spent many times clambering through the tunnels as a kid back in the 60s, then took girlfriends from Paull youth club in the 1970s. We all knew every nook and cranny of the fort. A historic monument that deserves renovation. Nice to think that it may live on longer.
@philgreen815 yes it's nice to see it back open but a lot of money needs to be spent of the place and a lot of thought. Shame when I went not much of it was open.
It's good to see the old place again
@outwiththebutler cheers , yeh it was good but couldn't stay long due to air soft game being played.
So many good memories swimming here in the 90s as a kid if i had the money id rebuild it as it was
Thats if the council would let you lol.... maybe the right brown envelope would do it lol

EVERYTHING CHANGES SO QUICK😢
Yes it does and I think it's been demolished now
I hope the place was cleaner when it was open.🙃
❤ Excellent information on Lady Mabel College and a mention of when the Intelligent Corps when based at Wentworth. The mansion/country house/palace has had many lives - oh, if the walls could talk!
Thanks for the upload Simon, it brought back happy memories visiting my grandparents and later my parents for over 50 years who lived a stone's throw away at 7 Cortworth Lane until my father's passing in 2013. I remember walking through the back of the property through the woods by the pineapple gates (an unused entry for many years) to view this amazing building. Regards Kev
No worries at all, glad you like it
I swam here when I was five years old and all I could remember was thinking about how deep the pool was now I have seen it again
Nice! Wish I could get out and do this stuff again. You been to any asylums?
I have been to highroyds asylum ( now converted into homes) St johns Asylum , i have been to Selly oak hospital , Raucbey asylum and a couple more.
There was a ghost at Wentworth. Well known story locally!
Awesome video mate I went there a long time ago

@@simonsanigar3581 told me they had to mature woman on would i like to book
Wow what a place. Is the big lakes apart of the building to they look massive id had to take my fishing rod
I'm not sure but i reckon it will be apart of the hotel. Its a shame that it has closed because i think its in a good area.
Wheres this at mate
Belvoir is in Leicestershire on the border with Lincolnshire. Nearest town Grantham.
I think i would avoid this place after dark these days chaps, not through worry of ghosts though, but It seems to be a haunt for every fruit n nutcase in the book these days. People trying to contact the other side with all kinds of weird and wonderful tricks to hand.
Why do people feel the need to destroy everything like that
I totally agree
What a waste..
@@justinthegardener what do you mean, what are murals? have you done work there?
@@justinthegardener Ah at first i thought you meant a plant. Yeh there good
I did like the old brick / stone work inside the hotel, good bit of structure to see today 👍
I used to go here for school, left not long before it was closed. I was one of the last years to get all the way through - my sibling had to move schools. Weird looking at the place and remembering standing places with people or going in certain rooms for classes. Still know my mates' names and which teachers were which subjects. Not seen my favourite teachers' classroom since I left but I knew which one it was straight away. I appreciate this vid, and others like it, a lot - I can't go back for real now but I can still get a feel for the place even run down like this. Ta very much mate!
Around the same time City Sauna ended there opened up a women's only homeless shelter just a few roads down from here so there's still loads of brass in S9 🤣😉
