Wonderful footage and images. So restful to watch. I've seen plenty of red kites, but only a few foxes, and they were like little dots on the hillside or in the bottom of a valley. Amazing video Adam. Best for last! That Bittern! Wow. Short story:, many years ago my friend was birding at Wicken Fen. On a marshy, reedy part he stumbled. Put out his hand to steady himself on a stick & it was a Bittern! True story. Cheers, John.

Some great shots there, thanks for sharing! I guess you remained fairly stationary under a tree, so the Kestrels ignored your presence. Also I guess that this being a park, they are more tolerant of people than Kestrels would in the countryside?

Some wonderful Kestrel shots. I love the Bokeh you are getting. I sometimes use a Minolta f1.2 50mm lens with an adapter for my fairly new Sony DSLR. Amazing Bokeh!! BTW: what lens were you using for the Kestrels? Regards, John.

Lovely video - and great images. I'm actually there myself this coming Saturday as a birthday treat. I think your kite might actually be an older juvenile, as the head feathers appear a little browner/more buff. While unable to see the vents, these are often paler and the breast is also more broadly steaked with white from my observations. It's very hard to tell in flight at least unless you have adults and juveniles flying together. If you have other images definitely take a look at the head.
