As a Breton Frenchman , I have always been impressed by the air trafic in both Guernsey and Jersey . I first flew to Jersey as far back as 1970 ! What an adventure it was. From St Brieuc over Dinard ! At the time most French had never been in a plane ,...do you know why ? Simply because they really thought the plane would crash !!!

Beech Lad Thanks a lot. Unfortunately its uneconomical to have heavies like a 320 / 737 being regular there as they couldnt fill all the seats due to the runway size

Really cool video. I'm flying on G-ETAC D228-NG in December from GCI-ACI-SOU for the first time! How did you get the opportunity to have a look at the ATC Tower? Also, you might know but when connecting through Alderney from GCI to SOU, do you get off the plane at Alderney? Thanks again!

Charlie Buxton Thanks!! You are lucky to be going on ETAC as that is brand new aircraft. On the flight in to ACI I flew with an air traffic controller who the pilots pointed out, which is how I knew who he was. When waiting at the airport for the return flight I saw him in the cafeteria and asked if he would show me around the tower and he was only to happy to. If the flight from ACI-SOU is basically straight after arriving from GCI then you will more than likely stay on board - at least thats what happened to me once a while back on board a trislander.
