Hello and welcome to the channel!!!
Here you will find videos designed to help Chemistry students. I am concentrating on A-level and GCSE past paper question walk throughs at the moment (both AQA). I want these to be as useful as possible so please don’t hold back if you have any suggestions about the format. I’d be happy to make videos on any topics or question that you find particularly challenging, just ask.
Good luck with your studies.

Water of crystallisation: A-level chemistry calculation
A-Level Chemistry: Mastering Water of Crystallization Calculations
In this video, we'll dive into a classic A-Level chemistry question involving water of crystallization. We'll break down the steps to calculate the value of "x" in a hydrated salt formula.
What we'll cover:
Understanding Water of Crystallization: A clear explanation of what water of crystallization is and why it's important.
The Experiment: A step-by-step guide on how to experimentally determine the water of crystallization.
The Calculation: A detailed breakdown of the calculation process, including:
Calculating the mass of water lost
Determining the moles of water and the anhydrous salt
Finding the mole ratio and determining the ...

You are actually a god send <3 never stop posting
Not sure what you are specifically studying. If it is BTEC applied science I have made some videos for the unit 1 exam (just chemistry). Some of the a-level chemistry videos are helpful for btec applied science too. Let me know if there is anything you would like to see in the channel in particular.
absolutely amazing
this is soo good
wow
wow
This was so helpful thank you
Glad you liked it. If you study btec science there is another video on cooling curves as well as titrations for unit 2. I’ve also made a few btec exam question walk throughs for unit 1.
Great explanation of a really tricky question, I appreciate the help.
Thanks, let me know if you’re stuck on any other types of question and I’ll try and help
@ Thank you very much I am currently in year 12 so I am trying to get used to these sorts of questions ready for later on
Is this an AQA chemistry question?
@@SuperStargazer666 yes, details of the question are in the description
thanks my guy

Wonderful work.
Thank you so much 😀
Hi, there is a mistake in the amount of iodine atoms calculation (it should be 2.00 x10^-3 mol NOT 2.13 x10^-3). Sorry about that. The final answer and the rest of the calculations are correct.
Amazing resource. Thank you for putting this together !
Thanks, let me know if there any questions or topics in particular that you’d like more content on
wonderful channel . i hope it gets more popular soon. i really appreciate your effort for doing this. keep it up man
how do we know it barium ion and not strontium? They both form white precipitates with sulfuric acid.
Correct. Strontium is also acceptable. This as a test for sulfate ions is on the aqa and ocr a level specifications . Students are required to know that barium sulfate is a white precipitate. Strontium is also an acceptable answer. Solubility of the sulfates decreases down group 2.
@@flipchem thanks
