First time down Devil's Racetrack in Knoxville
Seeing the fireworks always reminds me of being 17 at Children's Hospital in Knoxville. I was there for 3 months during football season (waiting for transplant) and watching the games. I always knew the Vols had scored a few seconds before it was on TV, because the fireworks and crowd noise shook my windows. For a diehard VOL fan, it was a little heaven in a whole lot of hell. GO VOLS. Great video!
I was in children's hospital for brain surgery
That is an amazing story!
@@rowlandjeff Thank you my friend
Cool video footage for those of us unable to attend. Go Vols 4Ever✌
Thanks, it was a great game!
Will the Vols make the playoffs?
Great footage !...Neyland packed with 102,000 raucous fans and the Vols Big D dominating Bama to get the win...doesn't get much better ! GBO!🍊🏈🇺🇸👍!
GBO It was an awesome ending
W
We still have Georgia to go folks! We need to be working on the off fence of line boys not only that all the damn penalties on this game was insane! We can do better than this!!! Let’s not forget to watch out for the last game and that’s vandy.
Georgia looks tough. Our defense can hold them down but Nico will have to have a good game
thanks for posting !
My pleasure. The ending was exciting.
Not the right game to storm the field. We need to act like we have been here before
I agree.
But we haven’t aside from 2022. It’s been a long drought. Students weren’t even old enough to remember the last time we beat bama before 2022. Now I’d agree we shouldn’t do it when we beat them at home again in 2026
Storming the field was fine it was a HUGE game, but definitely not tear down the goalposts, not the appropriate time to do that.
@@averylewis6601 agreed. Tearing down the goalposts was silly
GBO 🍊🧡
The fly over . . It gives me goosebumps everytime So legendary
Me too. It gets my blood pumping
GBO 🍊
GBO!
GBO!!
Great series of videos. What month did you start the ride and/or recommend?
I started July 5th based on the recommended earliest starting time for segment 1 to avoid snow. See link below. I’ll do segments 4-6 next year. It’s harder than the GDMBR but worth it. Let me know if you have anymore questions
bikepackingroots.org/project/western-wildlands-route/
Just do it. Don’t let this route scare you. Its doable
Looks kind of lonely....
Lonely is perfect on a bike. That’s one of the main reasons to bike packing
I feel it should be removed, let the river flow free
Electricity
where is this? looks great
On the border of Idaho and Montana
Here is the official website for route. I did segments 1-3 this past summer. You can find all information here. bikepackingroots.org/project/western-wildlands-route/ It’s similar to the GDMBR but harder. It’s doable so just go and ride it
Great pics!!
Glad you like them!
Beautiful country!!❤️
It really is! Wait for the 2nd and 3rd section videos
Some big jumps ! Looks crazy
I will see if I can get more air
Can you fish there?
Absolutely!
Yes, perfect place to fish
Jeff, did I see you bust the regs on cloud distance? lol
My friends Dave was flying IFR. I am only good for pictures and videos
Nice, which trail was this?
I believe this trail is called Chestnut Trail
I crashed hard on this bit.
Same, it was near the end of the day and I though I was going to have to camp at the top
This was a super hard section
Fantastic! It's all either flat or downhill at 20 mph av. speed!
Pretty much! You have to go fast down hill to make up for the slow up hill
Great ride. Boy, those strorm clouds could make ya nervous. Thanks for the post!👍
No worse feeling that to get stuck in peanut butter mud in the middle of nowhere. I was lucky, I only got a few sprinkles in ten days of riding
Fantastic collection of photos! What an experience.
Yes it was! Come with me next time
Looks like some kind of difficult terrain.
I think it is the hardest section of TD Route. GDMBR does not follow this section
@@rowlandjeff I found myself riding less than 10% of that section when I was racing the TD years ago. Thanks for posting the video.
That was a rough section and it was near the end of the day. I agree
Wow. New Mexico really does have a lot of routes where peanut butter mud is waiting to announce itself once the rain arrives. Good luck 🍀👍
I was lucky not to see any peanut butter mud
I did all of the GDMBR with only rain 2 times in the late evening after I was finished hiking. I was licky
So you bicycled 240 miles all along a road which was that isolated ? Remarkable ! How many days did it take ? Where did you replenish your drinking water along the way ? Was there any store to buy food anywhere ?
Yes and I would do it again. I loved it. I usually bike about 80 miles a day. It took me three days to get from Deadhorse to Coldfoot
Why is the road fenced at one side ?
Not sure. It appears a lot of cattle are grazing in the alpines of NM
Many private property landowners erect fences to keep their cattle inside the property boundaries. Not all forest lands are government owned (US Forest st Service, BLM, etc. ) These fences look old, but they still serve their purpose.
It’s just a matter of the land owner choosing to install a fence. Government agencies also install them depending on use requirements. Usually, they want to keep grazing stock off of highways, but there maybe other hazards in the area, or there’s a particular livestock management issue.
E-bike! Looks fun.....
It’s was fun
How long did it take?
5 days to do the Dalton highway for a total of 10 days including 2 days on the Denali highway. Do it, it was fun
Hi, this is a really nice movie! 🔥 We are wondering if we could use some shots from your video? Of course, there will be a message that the video is from your channel and an active link in the description of the video. Let me know if you agree to share the material with us 🙂 Greetings!
Sure, no problem at all. BMS is an amazing place. Sorry for late reply
@@rowlandjeff Great, thank you :)
It’s all gravel like that? Thinking of which bike to choose, it doesn’t look that chunky! A gravel bike, no suspension with 45 or 50 mm tires for some speed maybe? Planning to start my ride to Honduras in Deadhorse! want to start earlier, late spring, mid may perhaps! Cheers from Norway 🇳🇴
No problem at all with a gravel bike

A great adventure!!
What month did you begin your ride? The weather looks good.
I started July 25th. I would recommend starting early July since the rainy season starts in late July. It rained a lot. I only filmed when it was not raining. I want to do this again
Cool
I agree, just do it
very awesome! next summer ill bike this road! I want to bike from prudhoe to homer
I highly recommend it. Best bike trip I have done yet
absolutely incredible.
It was a blast and I would do it again
