Oftentimes with such videos we learn more about the piper's facility in playing jigs and hornpipes than we do about the tonal profile of the instrument.
Brought a tear to my eye 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦❤❤❤❤
He did a great job but it's our anthem he should be standing out of respect Oh Canada so pound
Should you not be standing for the National anthem ?
Fine performance, my friend! Let's hope beautiful Canada survives its current leadership!!
ewww, you just ruined this anthem for me
Jesus wow
You should try it only with your instrument. The orchestrations muffle you.
Very cool songs I really want to learn how to play bagpipe Brazil 🇧🇷
Very well done! How did you get the other instruments on your Blair? I know their website offers more downloads but those are only different pipes...
Wow 👍🇨🇦
I looked over this post and would love if someone would share the sheet music for this tune. I cannot find any renditions of it anywhere on google. Great job playing O’ Canada. Warms me to see such a great job.
I second the request for some guidance on finding the sheet music. There is a school called the Piping Hot Summer Drummer, which makes searching for the “Hornpipe” tough to find. Was it written at that school?
Where is the sheet music for this??
Play the sash
In all our son's command ....God keep our land Glorious and Free. Oh Canada we Stand On Guard for Thee.
Bonjour je cherche une cornemuse a acheter svp
You should have had a drink every time Neil said "flavour"
I'm a bagpiper, too! Very well done! Whenever I play street performances, I sometimes get idiots who cover their ears while I'm playing. I even get homeless jerks who try to intimidate me. Also get idiots who put out their cigarette butts in my bagpipe carrying bag! Those lame brains need to be taught lessons in POLITENESS!!!
Is he playing the Highland bagpipes or Borderpipes? The E flat he played looks like the fingering of the Borderpipes, but I can’t be sure. Does anyone know?
Hey this so so amazing. Can I ask your changer settings. Thanks
I know that bagpipes are a Mixolydian with 9 notes how did you ad 3 more notes?
I recall Andrew had the most cracking birls around. What a fantastic guy.
My truly favourite version of O Canada... as a Canadian who has Scottish background, this meant a lot... hearing this in my school, I was crying... this is perfect. I feel pride when this comes on! HAIL CANADA!
Ò Cannadach
Where can I get the dots and flags for this?
Do you need an amp or speakers to play this? Have seen comments where players are practicing while commuting etc. can’t see one carrying amp/speakers while commuting!
Headphones for travelling. Micro amp for other times.
Thanks for the tip. I’ve had the darn thing for a year now and still can’t tune it. It’s been a big let down!@@therealjetlag
Do you have the parts? I play bag pipes and never seen it played before.
Absolutely beautiful tune and great playing!
This guy makes it look easy to play the pipes! After 10 mins of me playing I want to run my pipes over with a truck, burn them with gasoline and burry them at sea lol.
being canadian and part scottish, this brings a tear to my eye
Same here... I love this theme when it gets played in school lol...
I'm American/Caymanian and I fucking love that!!!! Most excellent job!
My daughter is named after my mother RIP who was born in Ottawa. I'd love to have this played at her wedding even though we are Chassidim!
Wow
Dude, the hi-hat is my favorite part. Wonderful job!
The bagpipes for O Canada is the best instruments to use this process.
O canada we stand on guard for thee!
This is beautiful eh? Good job at it
Did you notice his neck pulls out
..Yes I did notice that now
nice
Very nice
G'day from Australia. Is the bag used with this chanter the ergo or the "air"bag ? Looking at getting the chanter. Thanks.
Hi Australian Son, The bag I use is the Ergo bag. It is very comfortable and puts the chanter in the perfect spot. The Air Bag is discontinued.
Great tone.
I'm sorry it took me so long to find these, they're great! Thanks to Tartantown and Terry for setting them up, its great to hear and see more of these fine gentlemen. And Neil too... ;-b
Bonjour, est possible d’avoir la partition de cet hymne svp merci
What a mind blowing Salute!! Thanks for this interview, Steven is my new drumming hero for sure😀 and he started as a tenor drummer! Good stuff Tartantown
nice....but known in Scotland as Hasten and come with me..!!
For your info it's known as 'Togail curs air Leoghas'. The first line of the song goes, Tugainn leamsa 's dean cabhaig', which in English is, come with me and hurry. It's a song in Gàidhlig, the language of Scotland.
Garde d'honneur! Salut nationale. Presentez... Armes !!
Way way cool and well done. Greetings to you buddy from DownUnder.
Can I use this audio in a Canada day special? Would love to use this!
Cool!
